TVGuide.com has learned exclusively that Lie to Me star Brendan Hines has been tapped to play Alex Conrad, a first-time mystery writer who owes some of his debut novel's success to a glowing review written by Castle (Nathan Fillion). When Castle invites Alex down to the precinct to play mentor, however, Alex becomes much more interested in what Beckett (Stana Katic) has to say about being a police detective...
For Make It or Break It's Cassie Scerbo, playing the mean girl is fun, but she's glad viewers will get to see a more vulnerable side to her character Lauren by the end of the season. "A lot of people look at her like she's so crazy, but she's crying out for love," the 20-year-old tells TVGuide.com. "By the end of the season people are going to understand Lauren a lot more." Season 2 of Make It or Break It has just begun and already tensions at The Rock are rising. Star Josie Loren gives a tour in the video below, while Ayla Kell, who plays Payson Keeler, tells us that although her character likes to stay out of the drama, "one big thing will change everything for her." When ABC Family's Make It or Break It returns for Season 2 (Monday at 10/9c), there will be fewer guys and more gymnastics. As star Josie Loren tells TVGuide.com, her character, Kaylie, "swears off boys" and becomes even more focused as she and her team at the Rock get closer to the Olympics. What's it like training off-screen to wear leotards on-screen? The 23-year-old talks about her workout routine and sharing the screen with Full House's Candace Cameron Bure.
TVGuide.com: Last season ended with Kaylie's ex kissing her friend. Will that be addressed in the first episode?
Josie Loren: That's definitely taken care of...
