After Daniel calls 911, he tells JJ to go. No one can know that he was here – otherwise he could end up in prison. JJ flees. Daniel gets Theresa to the hospital, where he runs into a confused Hope and Jennifer. As Theresa is taken away to be treated, Jennifer asks Daniel what he was doing at Theresa’s apartment. JJ secretly watches as Daniel is stumped for an answer. Chad comes clean with Abigail about faking a brain tumor. She is furious. Chad thinks they can work through it, but Abigail is done and storms out. He confides in EJ that he’s lost. Meanwhile, Abigail blasts Cameron for his own deception and is sorry she ever thought he or Chad were the right choice. Sami and EJ are at odds over Lucas’ ultimatum about Allie. Will and Sonny arrive with Will’s good news, and Will urges his mom to make the right choice for herself. Sami later tells EJ she wants to be with him. Earlier, Will prepares for his trip to Berkley, and Sonny is super supportive.

They start to make love, and when Theresa seems to have passed out, JJ at first thinks she’s kidding. However, he can’t rouse her and is terrified she may be dead! Lucas stops by to see if he can help Jennifer by talking to JJ, but she still has no idea where her son is. To take her mind off her worries, she stops by the hospital to pick up some work and later opens up to Maxine about all her regrets. She sacrificed Daniel to save JJ, and now she may have lost them both. Maxine tells Jennifer about the rumors flying around the hospital about Theresa and Daniel. EJ advises Chad to consider leveling with Abigail about his “brain tumor” before she finds out some other way. EJ is then called into to see Kayla, who needs information on Chad’s tumor. Cameron reveals there is no brain tumor. Kayla’s appalled by Chad and EJ’s duplicity, but says there are serious – though non-life-threatening – complications from Chad’s injury. Their best option is to get him to a top surgical specialist in Boston. EJ talks to Stefano, who will make all the arrangements and go with Chad to Boston. Kayla tells Chad and Abigail he will need to go out of town for additional surgery. Once Abigail leaves, Chad apologizes to Kayla for lying about his brain tumor. When Abigail comes back in, Chad tells her he did something really terrible. Stefano sincerely apologizes to Sami, admitting she was right when she blasted him for setting in motion all the events that led to Chad’s shooting. Later, Lucas arrives and tells Sami he will not allow Allie to live at the mansion any longer.
