Klaus Mikaelson is returning to Mystic Falls, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
The Originals' Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will cross over onto The Vampire Diaries for the first time since he exited the series in the Season 4 finale. As part of his goodbye — and in one of our favorite scenes of all time! — Klaus told Caroline (Candice Accola) that her boyfriend Tyler (Michael Trevino) was free to return to Mystic Falls. He then added, "He's your first love. I intend to be your last."
Well now that Tyler and Caroline have pretty much called it quits, has Klaus returned for another go at getting Caroline to give in to his love? Reps for CW and Warner Bros. TV had no comment.

The Vampire Diaries may have some new competition in the vampire department... from its own spin-off!
The Originals has been The CW's strongest rookie performer, with its latest episode drawing 2 million viewers and a 0.9 in the adults 18-49 demographic, nipping at the heels of its predecessor, which drew 2.6 million and a 1.2 in its latest outing. The Vampire Diaries spin-off, which was picked up for a full season on Monday, also cracked the Top 5 in our Fall TV Popularity Contest, receiving a 57 percent approval rating from TVGuide.com users. (Fox's Sleepy Hollow came in first with 85 percent.)
The CW orders full seasons of The Originals, The Tomorrow People and Reign
But it's not just the ratings that prove The Originals has found a following. After only a handful of episodes, The Originals has...

Tyler Lockwood has said his goodbyes to Mystic Falls and is heading on down to the Big Easy.
From sire bond to mortal enemies, the relationship between The Vampire Diaries' Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) took a sharp turn when Klaus killed Tyler's mom last season. Tyler attempted revenge, but when his plans went awry he was forced to leave town. But Klaus had one weak spot — Caroline (Candice Accola) — and allowed Tyler to come back so that his love could be happy. With the damage already done and his path for vengeance ignited, Tyler ultimately chose seeking redemption over his girlfriend, college and a chance at a (somewhat) normal life. On Tuesday's episode of The Originals (8/7, The CW)— the first of the two shows crossing over —Tyler will face the Original baddie once again.

How does a vampire get a daylight ring on The Originals? By kicking some ass.
Fall TV Popularity Contest: And the winner is...
On Tuesday's episode of the CW series, tensions between Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) continue to rise, leaving some members of Marcel's inner circle a little uneasy. In order to keep his allies close, Marcel offers up a coveted daylight ring — but his vampires are going to have to fight for it. Watch our exclusive clip below:
"Is it evil to take what one wants?"
This is the question Klaus (Joseph Morgan) poses to Cami (Leah Pipes) in this exclusive Originals sneak peek.
TV's most awesome cry faces
The vamp seems determined to win Cami's loyalty in his fight against Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), but Klaus sees the futility of his usual ways — threats and bodily harm. Instead, he opens up that big ol' heart of his a bit and explains that he simply wants to protect Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and save Davina (Danielle Campbell).

How do you manipulate and defeat someone who knows you better than almost anyone else? That's the dilemma Klaus is facing on The Originals.
Although it's evident that there's a long history between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and his former protégé Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), on last week's episode, viewers saw just how deep the bond goes. As Klaus was settling New Orleans in 1820, he watched a young slave being tortured. Turns out the boy, who didn't even have a name, was the product of the Governor's affair. Klaus felt a connection and took the boy, who he named Marcellus, under his wing.
If Joseph Morgan's Originals character seems a little darker lately, it's because he's been listening to too much Game of Thrones.
"I love Game of Thrones and in fact to bridge the gap between the third and fourth seasons I started listening to the audio books on my drive to work," Morgan tells us in his video Watchlist below. "So all of my performances will now be enhanced by the Game of Thrones audio book."

For a hated vampire, The Originals' Marcel sure has a lot of admirers.
On last week's series premiere, viewers were re-introduced to New Orleans' ruling vamp Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who's gone to many lengths to make sure the city remains under his control. But with his former mentor's arrival, and the help of a few witches he's pissed off along the way, Marcel is faced with getting the Big Easy swept from under him. Good thing Klaus' sister Rebekah (Claire Holt) is coming back to town on Tuesday (8/7c, The CW) since the two have quite the history...
