TNT's Closer spin-off may be getting its own spin-off.
The network is developing a potential Major Crimes offshoot that would star Jon Tenney, TVLine.com reports.
25 totally unnecessary spin-offs
Tenney first appeared on The Closer as Special Agent Fritz Howard, the husband of the series' main character, Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick). Following The Closer's seven-season run...

Question: What do you think of the "Uprising" arc in the second half of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s first season? I think it is miles better than the first half of this season, which was pretty so-so at times. [Spoilers ahead] The tie-in with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with Hydra infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Garrett being revealed as the Clairvoyant working for Hydra, were very good plot twists, along with Agent Ward being a turncoat to work for Agent Garrett and Hydra — or could Ward be going undercover for Agent Coulson to help S.H.I.E.L.D. bring down Hydra? I really hope this show gets renewed for a second season by ABC, so that it will continue to improve and be a better show that everyone can enjoy to watch! - Chris

Scandal plans to end its third season with a bang — literally.
After OPA dismantled B613 just as Maya Pope's (Khandi Alexander) assassination plot came together, POTUS & Co. are forced to work with the enemy during Thursday's episode, calling in former B613 command Rowan (Joe Morton) for help. Of course, Jake (Scott Foley) is pissed and tells Olivia (Kerry Washington) that she's making a big mistake. For once, he was...

Mellie may often be an awful person, but even villains deserve a little love sometimes.
Enter Governor Nichols (Jon Tenney), who was introduced in Scandal's midseason premiere as Fitz's new running mate now that Vice President Sally Langston (Kate Burton) is ditching the ticket to run independently. Nichols was Fitz's (Tony Goldwyn) Deputy Governor in California, which means they share a long history.

I was supposed to post some afterthoughts about "All In," last Tuesday or Wednesday and, instead, I am late with my entry about this week's new episode, (which was directed by Jon Tenney, better known to our fan base as Special Agent Fritz Howard). It just goes to show you that our best intentions can suddenly be overwhelmed by the unforeseen. In my case, the surprise was sinusitis and a prescription for some fierce, energy-sapping antibiotics that have forced me to adjust my professional plans. While physically irritating, it has made me even more sympathetic to the detectives in Major Crimes, all of whom find themselves dealing with the unexpected when their holiday vacation gets derailed by a shopping trip to Venice Beach.
We begin with Flynn and Provenza ambling through one of the kookiest neighborhoods in Los Angeles...
