Charlie Sheen Gets Roasted, Says He's Through "Winning"

Charlie Sheen

At the taping for his upcoming Comedy Central roast, Charlie Sheen endured quite the verbal beating. But the former Two and a Half Men star says he came out of it "unscathed," according to Entertainment Weekly.

Charlie Sheen roast adds William Shatner, Jon Lovitz and... Kate Walsh?

"Once again, I come out unscathed. You can't hurt me. I can't kill me," Sheen said at the conclusion of the taping. "Did you really think your little jokes were going to hurt me? I did porn stars; I did drugs. Then I did the one thing everybody in America wishes he could do. I told my boss to f--- off. And then it was gone. I'm done with 'the winning' because I've already won."

Sheen, of course, is referring to his media assault against Two and a Half Men executive producer Chuck Lorre when the show failed to resume production after a hiatus was taken for Sheen to enter rehab.... read more

Justin Bieber, Dana Carvey

For Dana Carvey's fourth return trip to host Saturday Night Live, there were a couple old, familiar faces from Carvey's era — and Justin Bieber.

The 16-year-old pop singer brought his million-dollar smile and "angel's voice" to two sketches, turning both Carvey and Andy Samberg into obsessed fans.

In Season 2, Hot in Cleveland (10/9c, TV Land) has already seen Betty White's old TV pincushion Mary Tyler Moore and Valerie Bertinelli's former sitcom mom Bonnie Franklin fill big guest slots. SNL Vets Do Las Vegas? Yeah, That's the Ticket!

The CEO of Broadway Video tells the New York Daily News that Lorne Michaels is "in the early stage of talking" with a major Las Vegas casino to create and stage a live Saturday Night Live revue. The plan would be for such former Not Ready for Prime Time players as Martin Short, Jon Lovitz and Julia Sweeney to recreate classic sketches as well as present new material. Ideally, top-shelf alumni à la Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Steve Martin would pay special visits throughout the year. read more

Acting It Up at the SAG Awards

Yes, that was my shout of glee that woke up the neighbors Sunday night when Chandra Wilson was named outstanding female actor in a drama series for Grey’s Anatomy. At long last, Miranda Bailey has been given her due, and the wonderful Ms. Wilson rose to the occasion with a rapturous acceptance speech, acknowledging how unlikely it would be for someone with her skin, her nose, her height, her weight, to be accepted in this industry. (I think I also yelped in delight when the entire Grey’s cast took the stage for its well-deserved ensemble acting award.)This on the same night that Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera also took home an Actor trophy. Another unconventional, but absolutely right, choice.I tend to enjoy the crisp, fast-moving SAG Awards telecast—aside from those pretentious opening monologues in which the likes of Marg Helgenberger (revealing an astounding lot of cleavage, right up there with Marcia Gay Harden), Jada Pinkett Smith and Freddie Rodriguez remind ... read more
