A comic thriller in the Hitchcock style in which an out-of-towner who shares a taxi with a beautiful stranger mails a mysterious package on her behalf. But when she is murdered, he is suddenly pursued by the police, hitmen and sinister spies who think he knows something.

A spectacular historical epic set in 1885... Commanded by a determined religious leader called "The Mahdi" (Laurence Olivier), 80,000 fierce Sudanese warriors massacre 8,000 untrained, British-led Egyptian troops in the desert, 100 miles beyond Khartoum. General Charles "Chinese" Gordon (Charlton Heston) is persuaded to try to make peace. He must also find a way to evacuate the Egyptian army defending Khartoum and protect its inhabitants. Gene Wilder plays Michael Jordon, an innocent by-stander turned victim, turned hero. Kate Hellman (Gilda Radner) falls in love with him while looking for her brother's murderers. Together they are caught in a world of international intrigue, suspense and murder. Ransom (Richard Widmark), a ruthless adversary,is intent on eliminating Michael. Pursued by Ransom, Michael and Kate embark on a bold mission which takes them on a wild ride in an airplane high above the Grand Canyon, to a hidden military command center, through a frenzied chase in the streets of New York and to a desert outpost where attackers besiege them from all sides.

Steve and Wardell sneak out of their houses to visit an illegal nightclub. During their visit they are robbed of their wallets. When Steve's wallet turns out to have contained a winning lottery ticket they set out to find the crooks.
