  • Starred in two Alfred Hitchcock movies, The Trouble with Harry and Topaz, and appeared in several episodes of the director's classic TV series.

  • Narrated the syndicated series World of Survival and acted as spokesperson for the World Wildlife Fund.
  • Reprised his role as the voice of Charlie Townsend in the 2000 movie version of Charlie's Angels and the 2003 sequel.
  • Died of complications from pneumonia, coupled with a year-long battle with cancer.
