With the house in complete and total disarray thanks to a major renovation, the two-episode season premiere of 'Melissa & Joey' (Wed., 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family) saw plenty of awkward encounters. Of course, the entire show is built on the sexual tension between the title characters, so they wasted no time getting into bed together.Granted, it was into air mattresses laid out on the floor, after Joe rendered the upstairs unusable for three days thanks to a floor treatment. The boys shared one mattress while the girls shared the other, but after a couple of late night trips to the bathroom, Mel crawled into the wrong bed and found herself snuggling with Joe.Things didn't get any better by the end of the hour. Joe got a new room above the garage, but this created another awkward encounter when he and Mel discovered that their windows faced one another. While they seem determined to keep one another at arm's distance, anyone who's ever watched a traditional sitcom like this -- 'Who's the Boss?' was very much like this -- knows how it's all going to turn out.
