The red band trailer for High Road.
Fitz thinks he has the road to life figured out; has a cute girlfriend named Monica (Abby Elliot), he s a drummer in a mildly successful band T.O.R.EAGLE , and he follows his own stoner dogma about how reality is supported by the connections of three basic things, which he conveniently dubbed The Triangle Theory. When he s not selling weed, Fitz finds himself mentoring a 16-year-old high school slacker, Jimmy (Dylan Obrien) and the two bond over gaming and jam sessions in Fitz s garage. Here, Fitz doesn t have to face all the adult responsibilities he s avoiding, and Jimmy doesn t have to worry about being yelled at by his hard-ass father James Malone Sr. (Rob Riggle). However, Fitz s life comes to a crash when his band mates Tommy (Zach Woods) and Richie (Matt Jones) announce they re quitting the band. Fitz declares that he will dedicate his time to his ill-fated Rock Opera, but instead just smokes and deals more weed. Monica s career gets a boost when her creepy boss Barry (Ed Helms) pressures her to take it to the next level. Meanwhile, one of Fitz s pot deals goes awry, and in a state of paranoia, decides to go on the lam. Scrambling to ditch his supplies, Fitz runs into Jimmy who is also running away from being enrolled into military school. When Malone Sr. arrives and grabs Jimmy, Fitz knocks him out and they escape to Oakland. Believing his son has been kidnapped; Malone turns to his incredibly incompetent and earnest friend Peter Fogerty (Joe LoTruglio). Fogerty fancies himself as an expert detective, but can barely manage the Police Academy gym. While trying to speak honestly Fogerty whips Malone Sr. into a frenzy by convincing him they only have 24 hours to find Jimmy or else he could be raped or killed or both!
With Car chases, guns, broken bones, sassy cabbies, a creepy doctor (Horatio Sanz) and a hooker, Fitz and Jimmy s quest to find the High Road is a lesson to be learned; the road less traveled is filled
