Following in the footsteps of Joe Biden and John McCain, Newt Gingrich is the latest politician to appear on NBC's Parks and Recreation.
The Indy Star reports that the former speaker of the House happened upon production of Parks and Rec at St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis on Monday when he tried to get lunch.

Since Amy Poehler's Parks and Recreation character couldn't make a kiss with Vice President Joe Biden happen, she settled for the next best thing: David Letterman?
When the comedienne appeared on Late Show Tuesday, Poehler explained how her character Leslie Knope has a huge crush on Biden. When they filmed his recent guest appearance on her NBC comedy, Poehler says that for kicks, she tried to seal the deal with the VP. In turn, Letterman goes in for his own kiss, which you can watch in the clip below:
