"You ask for a simple white Christmas ..." and everything goes to cartoon hell on Eureka, already the most animated of Syfy's quirky series, and a natural to be brought back for a one-night-only Christmas special, a gift for fantasy fans, packaged with similarly themed episodes of Warehouse 13 and Haven. The Eureka special (8/7c) is especially inventive, as the isolated mountain town's overtaxed Super Photon Generator interacts with a child's hologram-generating storybook, and abracadabra, everyone becomes a cartoon character (including Sheriff Carter's much-abused Jeep, cleverly and petulantly voiced by The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons).

Joanne Kelly
Syfy's Warehouse 13 returned for its third season last night with the proverbial bang, plus a seismic shock or two. The good news: Leading lady Joanne Kelly is still with us as Myka Bering, even though the tough, vulnerable, funny and deliciously dishy superagent quit her job in the Season 2 finale after her trust in H.G. Wells (Jaime Murray) almost led the end of the world. Now for the bad news (though it's actually good news!): The evil H.G. is already back — albeit in holographic form — cryptically claiming she's being held captive somewhere and urging Myka to return to her job at the Warehouse. TV Guide Magazine had an exclusive chat with Kelly to get the lowdown on Myka's return, her future with H.G. and her crazy-good chemistry with this hot new Steve guy.

For most network shows today, producing 200 episodes is a rarity. So, how did CSI: Miami, which accomplishes that feat with Sunday's episode, celebrate?
Check out photos of the CSI: Miami cast
"There was a lot of hype surrounding Episode 100 way back when. I remember we all thought, we've got to do something big: spectacle, spectacle, spectacle!" co-executive producer Marc Dube recalls. "Turns out at Episode 200, it's not about spectacle so much as just doing what we do well: tell a good mystery and tug at some heartstrings along the way."
So Dube and fellow co-executive producer Barry O'Brien penned an episode that did just that. In the episode ...

Warehouse 13
It's official: Warehouse 13 is packed to the rafters with cool. And not just a "Hey, neat effects!" We're talking actual across-the-board cool, from the Bones-caliber sparks between uber-loveable leads Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly, to the steampunky inventiveness of the show's concept (federal agents tracking down supernaturally powered historical relics), to the fact that it's an unrepentantly geeked-out genre show that manages to balance smart and silly, while also being pretty damn sexy...

"In this job, there's no such thing as no such thing."
That clever quip gives us summer Syfy in a nutshell. As spoken by Warehouse 13's glib Secret Service hero Pete Lattimer (the genial Eddie McClintock) to his foxy partner Mika Bering (Joanne Kelly) while both are plastered to a Victorian ceiling by some anti-gravity device or other, we are served the fantastic with a side order of whimsy, with very little ever taken seriously...

Joanne Kelly with Eddie McClintock, Warehouse 13
Among the myriad familiar elements of Syfy's Warehouse 13 (Tuesdays at 9/8 CT), there is the push-me-pull-you nature of Pete and Myka's working relationship. Could the special agents' bickering lead to a Bones/Booth or Scully/Mulder sort of romantic tension?
"There may be a few hints," Joanne Kelly teases in her TVGuide.com video Q&A. In the episodes ahead, she says, "There are a couple of those moments."
