In this misty morality play, three crooks vie to gain possession of $20,000 in stolen bank money by hiring swamp guide Simon Lewt (Marshall Thompson), the lone man who can take them to the loot's hiding place in the Florida Everglades. But as the desperate criminals each attempt to lure Lewt into their schemes to retrieve the cash, temptation rears its head -- and he contemplates running off with the booty himself.

After angering a gang of mobsters, police officer Vic Barron (Mark Stevens) is framed for a crime he didn't commit -- and, still worse, suffers personal tragedy when his wife and child are brutally killed. But now that he's served his time, he's out for revenge. With his radar tuned to finding Tino Morelli (Douglas Kennedy), one of the men who helped put him behind bars, he heads to the remote town of Ketchikan, Alaska, to hit his mark.
