Sons of Anarchy's Final Ride: Jax No Longer Cares About Being the Good Guy

On a sunny mid-July day on the Sons of Anarchy's North Hollywood set, there's a lot of people talking about the end. And, surprisingly for a show this bloody, they're not talking about death.

That's because, come November, the cameras will stop rolling for good and the bikers of FX's highest-rated drama of all time will ride off — sunset TBD — for the final time. Many have put thinking about the end of the series out of their minds. "I think everyone is in a healthy state of denial," Katey Sagal says with a laugh

19 Times Life and The West Wing Imitated Each Other

At times, the modern political climate may seem stranger than fiction, so it may be comforting (or disconcerting) to know that several recent political events initially took place years prior, on NBC's beloved series The West Wing, which aired from 1999 to 2006. While some of its more prescient episodes tackle obvious issues (i.e. "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"), other coincidences are downright bizarre (i.e. characters who bear striking similarities to Barack Obama and John McCain squaring off in a...read more

Sons of Anarchy Boss on the "Tragic" Season 6 Finale and What's Next for Jax

[WARNING: The following story contains major spoilers from the Season 6 finale. Read at your own risk.]

Sons of Anarchy's bloodiest season yet delivered even more carnage on Tuesday's Season 6 finale.

After learning that Tara (Maggie Siff) took his sons, Jax (Charlie Hunnam) started a manhunt to find Tara before she could rat out the club to D.A. Patterson (CCH Pounder). However, when SAMCRO found Tara playing with her sons at the park, Jax delivered surprising news...read more

Sons of Anarchy: Jax's True Plan Is Revealed — And Gets Deadly

[WARNING: The following story contains major spoilers from Tuesday's episode of Sons of Anarchy. Read at your own risk.]

"What went down today was us burying the last piece of a very broken past." — Jax Teller

Sons of Anarchy has long been known for late-season switcheroos that get the outlaw motorcycle club out of a tight jam. But Tuesday's episode took that strategy to another level.

Instead of waiting for the finale to reveal this season's master stroke, Jax (Charlie Hunnam) made sure that his plan to get SAMCRO out of the gun-running business sticks for good. After shoring up the details of his plan to deliver Gaalan (Timothy V. Murphy) and a bunch of the Irish Kings' assault weapons to D.A. Patterson (CCH Pounder), Jax & Co. prepared to help Connor (Scott Anderson) bust Clay (Ron Perlman) out of his prison transport as Gaalan requested... read more

Tuesday's episode of Sons of Anarchy took viewers deeper inside the history of Venus Van Dam.

Sons of AnarchyJustified's Walton Goggins on his jaw-dropping Cameo

Although the transsexual escort — played by The Shield and Justified star Walton Goggins — was introduced as part of a comedic blackmail scheme last season, the character's most recent appearance took a more serious, emotional turn.  When Gemma (Katey Sagal) tells a jailed Nero (Jimmy Smits) that Venus turned up at Nero's place with a shiner after a family altercation regarding Venus' "nephew," Nero urges Gemma to ask Jax (Charlie Hunnam) to help Venus out.

Sons of Anarchy: 6 Things to Expect in Season 6

On FX's Sons of Anarchy, Jax Teller's road to hell has always been paved with good intentions. That will be especially true in Season 6.

"Jax is trying to balance being a good father, a good husband and a good leader of an outlaw organization — therein lies the tragic flaws of this guy," creator and executive producer Kurt Sutter tells TVGuide.com. "He's got this sense of, 'I can unplug us from all the bad sh--. Let's go legit — let's head in that direction because that's going to keep us alive.'  As the season progresses, the question is: How do you unplug if people perceive you as the source of power?  And is it too late? Are things set in motion in such a way where it just can't be done? That's really the quest for him this season."
