Jimmy Kimmel escaped from a burning home with Tom Cruise for the spot, which debuted during Sunday night's Oscars. He took the bit further by showing his Jimmy Kimmel Live audience a spoof video that features the stars talking about how the spot came to fruition.

Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman just can't make up their effing minds.
The golden couple of comedy may be back together, sources tell People. The duo called it quits after five years in July, but they have been seen out on the town together in L.A. and most recently in New York, where they attended Howard Stern's wedding together.

ABC didn't have to look very far to find a host for the American Music Awards.
Late-night son Jimmy Kimmel will emcee the Nov. 23 award show, the network announced. Kimmel is no stranger to the AMA stage — he's hosted four previous times and has been deemed "a masterful host with incredible spontaneity and wit" by Orly Adelson, president of Dick Clark Productions.
"I agree with Orly completely," Kimmel responded.
The Jonas Brothers and Pink are among scheduled performers.

Kanye West is teaming with Comedy Central and the creators of Crank Yankers on a new puppet-filled show described as hip-hop meets the Muppets.West hosted a half-hour pilot that has already been shot for the series, The Hollywood Reporter said. The show, to feature music by West and fellow Chicago rapper Rhymefest, is under consideration for 2009.They will serve as executive producers along with Daniel Kellison.
