The Biggest Loser winner Rachel Fredrickson is defending her shocking 155-pound weight loss and shooting down any rumors of an eating disorder.
On Tuesday's Season 15 finale, viewers — and even the show's trainers — seemed stunned when the 24-year-old former swimmer stepped on the scale at 105 pounds. At 5-foot-5, this BMI puts Rachel in the underweight category, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
After months of workouts and dieting, Rachel Frederickson was crowned the winner of The Biggest Loser Season 15. But her bone-thin appearance on the live finale Tuesday night sparked some concern over her health.
A former competitive swimmer, Frederickson began the competition at 260 pounds. When she weighed in Tuesday, she was down to 105.
"Full effort is full victory." Mahatma Gandhi
Being a super-fan of The Biggest Loser for years, I knew what an accomplishment it was to make it to "Singles." At the Week 10 challenge, Alison unveiled an assortment of colored jerseys, marking the end of team efforts, and introducing us to our new identities and start of individual efforts. It was time to take everything we had learned over the first few months on the ranch and apply it solely for our own benefit. Going forward, I had only my effort to count on.... and I really liked that new kind of positive pressure.
The Biggest Loser's David is finally realizing he needs to put himself first for once.
On Tuesday's episode, the teams are disbanded leaving everyone to fight for themselves. Eager to switch things up, the trainers also work with some of the contestants they haven't previously. One player, David, shares an intimate conversation with Jillian Michaels about losing his wife and always caring for others.
