When his father, King Eurich (Mel Ferrer), fails to return from an expedition to North America, bold Viking prince Thorvald (Lee Majors) and a company of Norse warriors set sail across the cold Atlantic to discover the old man's fate. Befriending a native maiden on the strange new shores, Thorvald discovers that his father has been captured by fearsome Indians who have no intention of letting him go.

Kim McAfee (Ann-Margret) turns outto be the lucky teenager and Conrad's whole entourage moves into her quiet, Midwestern home much tothe chagrin of her ever irritable father (Paul Lynde) and her jealous boyfriend (Bobby Rydell). Theresult is chaos and a series of hilarious romantic complications.
