ABC's sexy summer guilty pleasure is back!
Mistresses returns Monday at 10/9c, picking up eight months after the events of the finale, in which Savi (Alyssa Milano) coded at the hospital after getting into a horrific car accident. Of course, nearly dying came at the most inopportune moment ever after both her estranged husband Harry (Brett Tucker) and her baby daddy Dom (Jason George) professed their love for her.
Mistresses has been renewed for a second season, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
The series, which stars Alyssa Milano, Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes and Jes MacCallan, ended its first season with...
Judging solely by the title Mistresses, you might assume that the four leading ladies of ABC's new primetime soap play man-hungry home wreckers. Not so fast! Alyssa Milano (married attorney Savannah "Savi" Davis), Yunjin Kim (psychiatrist Karen Rhodes), Rochelle Aytes (widowed shopkeeper April Malloy) and Jes Macallan (Savi's realtor sister, Josslyn) want you to know there's a lot ...
Fans of the original British series Mistresses won't be surprised to learn that the ABC adaptation is going in a very similar direction with Joss (Jes Macallan) exploring a connection with another woman beginning in Monday's episode.

"Here's the story
Of two lovely ladies ..."
Doesn't take long before ABC Family's The Fosters dispels one of its two moms' worries that if they keep adding kids to their already crowded household, "It's going to be like The Brady Bunch around here." Well, maybe if Carol had married Alice and Alice was an African-American private-school vice principal and Carol was a cop and the kids were a blended multi-racial rainbow of diversity. Earnest but rarely saccharine, this promising new family drama (Monday, 9/8c) — to be paired in future weeks with the channel's best series, Switched at Birth — establishes its edgier tone by introducing its main character, the abused but prideful Callie (Maia Mitchell), as she gets roughed up on her way out of juvy and into the welcoming custody of Lena (Sherri Saum), who hasn't yet told her partner-the-cop Stef (Teri Polo) about the new addition.
With a name like Mistresses, ABC's new drama has guilty pleasure written all over it.
Based on the British series of the same name, Mistresses stars Alyssa Milano, Rochelle Aytes, Yunjin Kim and Jes Maccallan as a group of women whose lives are full of illicit and complicated relationships — most of them involving being "the other woman," and one of them involving another woman. (Yes, we're talking about a lesbian relationship.)
