Jerry Bruckheimer Fast Facts:

Left a career in advertising to pursue his dream of being a movie producer.
Teamed with buddy Don Simpson to form Simpson-Bruckheimer Productions. Its first feature, 1983's Flashdance, was a huge commercial hit.
Simpson-Bruckheimer became synonymous with big-budget action-adventure blockbusters during the '80s; the company dissolved in late 1995, weeks before Simpson was found dead in his home.
First solo production was the hit Con Air (1997), followed by Armageddon (1998).
Has also enjoyed success on the small screen where his executive producing credits include CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and its spin-offs, CSI: Miami and CSI: New York, as well as the Emmy-winning reality series The Amazing Race.
