A provocative and suspenseful drama, Brideshead Revisited tells an evocative story of forbidden love and the loss of innocence set in the pre-WWII era. In the film, Charles Ryder (Matthew Goode, Match Point, The Lookout ) becomes entranced with the noble Marchmain family, first through the charming and provocative Sebastian Flyte (Ben Whishaw, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer ), and then his sophisticated sister, Julia (Hayley Atwell, Cassandra s Dream and the upcoming The Duchess ). The rise and fall of Charles infatuations reflect the decline of a decadent era in England between the wars. Academy Award-winner Emma Thompson co-stars as Lady Marchmain. The film, based on Evelyn Waugh s acclaimed novel is adapted for the screen by multiple BAFTA Award-winner Andrew Davies ( Bridget Jones Diary, Bleak House ) and Jeremy Brock ( The Last King of Scotland ) and directed by Julian Jarrold ( Becoming Jane ). watch

Lost: Daniel Faraday Is Definitely Dead

As the saying goes in the Lost-verse, dead is dead.

"The Other Woman"

First of all thanks to Mickey for covering last weeks very trippy episode while I did a little traveling of my own I have to admit that after watching the episode several days later I was somewhat relieved about not having to sort through Desmonds stickiness issues However I do wish I could have shared with all of you how truly touched I was by the phone reunion between Desmond and Penny I read through most of your comments and I am very firmly in the camp of those who feel that Desmond and Pennys love story is really the heart of the show And Jack and Kate are the soul and Sawyer and Kate are the libido But enough about last week lets focus on the nowIts very stressful being an Other Jack Though at the time she was being sarcastic it seems like Juliet really hit the nail on the head Just ask Ethan and Goodwin and Tom andwell lets just say that the Others have faced their share of adversity and gu read more

Cheers: Lost's New Magic Number — Four

Cheers to Lost for finding a quartet of stellar talents to play the "rescuers" — aka "a headcase, a ghostbuster, an anthropologist and a drunk." Jeremy Davies (Faraday) has brought his off-kilter charisma to everything from Saving Private Ryan to Helter Skelter. Ken Leung (Miles) oozed magnetic hostility as Uncle Junior's roomie in The Sopranos and a Chinese army interrogator in HBO's too-little-seen movie Strip Search. Stunning Brit Rebecca Mader (Charlotte) was one of the best things about Fox's unjustly overlooked Justice. And Jeff Fahey (Lapidus) has been a personal fave since the underrated '90s drama The Marshal. They're all stronger actors than, say, Michelle Rodriguez, Rodrigo Santoro, Maggie Grace and Ian Somerhalder. I just hope they last longer. read more

Confirmed Dead

If last weeks episode left me emotionally drained and thirsty for more tonights episode left me completely baffled slightly annoyed and as always thoroughly intrigued Oh and it has to be said sick to death of the seemingly endless commercial breaksWhere to begin First I have to give props to the posters from last week who guessed that Naomis dying words were in fact a code to her team Apparently Tell my sister I love her really meant Someone is holding a gun to my head and I am in grave danger Despite all of that it still wont surprise me if Naomi has more than one connection to our friends on the island Tonights episode kicked off with the discovery of Oceanic Flight 815or what appeared to be Oceanic Flight 815deep in the waters off the coast of Bali On our slowly emerging timeline those remains were likely being discovered around the same time that Jack was telling everyone about living togethe read more

Lost Exclusive: Meet Four New Characters!

TV Guide got the details on Lost's (Thursdays, 9 pm/ET, ABC) fresh faces. KEN LEUNG "Miles": Lost executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse created the role of Miles specifically for New York City native Ken Leung after catching his live-wire performance as Uncle Junior's unstable protégé in The Sopranos last year. Before signing on to the super-secret ABC series, though, the actor — who also played the porcupine-esque Kid Omega in X-Men: The Last Stand — called up Cuse and attempted to pry some info out of him. "After our conversation," Leung admits, "I was still more or less blind." Allow us to fine-tune the picture: Miles, like The Sopranos' Carter, is a hothead, but he's a uniquely gifted one. "He's after something he can g read more
