She added, "It always makes me laugh when people say 'Is she?' 'Isnt she?' Are the Afflecks expecting a second child? Conflicting reports have emerged, thanks in part to comments from Jennifer Garner's Alias costar, Victor Garber. The actor seemingly announced her pregnancy to Us, saying, "Yes, she is," when asked if the couple was expecting a baby.Later in the day, though, Garber said his comments had been taken out of context. "I haven't confirmed that at all, no," E! reports. "I know they want to have another child and hopefully that's true, but I don't know that." He added, "I know that they are hoping to be, I just don't know that it's for sure. It's a very...personal thing."What is confirmed is that Garner's been seen around town sporting super-baggy tops, and has previously expressed interest in having more children with Ben Affleck in addition to their daughter, Violet. All of this leaves us with the same guessing game and possibly a Jack Black-like slip from Garber. What do you think he meant? Anna Dimond
Weve always been fairly certain that Gary Busey is cookoo for Cocoa Puffs, but after last nights red carpet incident where he went after Ryan Seacrest in the middle of another interview and kissed Jennifer Garner on the neck, were positive thats the case. Beyond wanting to know why this guy is so whacked, what were dying to know is, why the hell was Gary Busey even there in the first place?

The lashing rain didn't keep host Jennifer Garner from the I Have a Dream Foundation Los Angeles' Dreamkeeper Awards and Gospel Brunch Sunday at the Sunset Strip House of Blues. The awards, given to Grey's Anatomy's Sara Ramirez, CSI: NY's Hill Harper and businessman James Berk, honored those who share the foundation's vision of a strong commitment to foster the academic development of youth all over the United States.Garner emphasized the importance of mentorship programs for children, crediting a short list of mentors who inspired her toward her goals. "That's part of the reason why I believe in this so much. I'm definitely a product of my mentors," said Garner. "I had a school librarian, Annis McCann, who really believed in me, and my ballet teacher, Nina Denton, mentored me. I had great parents, and I had an older sister who was and is somebody I look up to. And in college, I had people who just took that extra time with me. And you know, I wasn't the straight-A, good kid. I did...

Hows this for irony? All last week, trying not to get too depressed about what a protracted writers strike might mean for the TV season and the industry at large, I was secretly looking forward to a weekend getaway: catching former Alias star Jennifer Garners Broadway debut in a revival of Cyrano, opposite Kevin Kline and Rescue Mes Daniel Sunjata. Unfortunately, my tickets were for Saturday night, by which time the stagehands union had initiated their own sudden walkout and work stoppage. At this rate, I might actually finish the book Ive been reading since mid-October.(Thankfully, I was lucky enough to catch Aaron Sorkin's new play, The Farnsworth Invention, before the strike. It was scheduled to have its official opening night later this week, but when it reopens, I predict a healthy run for this fascinating, entertaining play recounting the birth of television.)While consumers of TV, movies and even theater wait for unions and producers to reac...
Question: I am shocked that in the many comments made about Bionic Woman, no one has mentioned the completely flat and robotic acting of lead Michelle Ryan. When I tuned in to the show to give it a try, I was completely turned off by Ryan's dismal performance. What could the producers and NBC have been thinking with that casting choice? One of the reasons Alias was such a critical and cult favorite was because of the fantastic lead performance of Jennifer Garner, who not only kicked butt, but also infused character Sydney Bristow with warmth, depth, intelligence and angst. Her multilayered performance "garnered" her several richly deserved Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, and even a Globe win. Sadly, I would not predict the same for Ryan. Do you agree that her lack of both acting skills and charisma will contribute to the failure of Bionic Woman?
Answer: I hardly thought this was a big secret. Seems to me lots of the negative commentary about this show has focused on the dour,
The actress whose winning smile made a married man of Ben Affleck has been chosen to be the poster girl for... influenza? Yes, that's the disease that the American Lung Association has chosen her lovely mug to represent in a series of PSAs. Personally, I think Abe Vigoda would have been the more logical choice. He could scare me into getting immunized. Sydney Bristow? Not so much. — Ben Katner
