Adult-film thespian (though she does straight scenes, too) Jenna Jameson is engaging in some heavy PETA-ing, starring in a promotional piece (see it here) encouraging people to seek alternatives to leather."It's OK to be an animal in bed, but not at the expense of real animals," says Jenna, who, with the benefit of a dark wig, channels a bikini-clad Betty Page in the ad. "Pleather yourself every day, every night, every chance you get!"How will JJ measure her (ahem) satisfaction with the effort? "If I can show off the hot look of pleather and convert a few leather lovers," she says, "then mission accomplished!"Related: Porn-free Scarlett Johansson Rebuffs Jenna Jameson Biopic

Celebrities are now vying for the position of Donald Trump's "top dog" by taking their business to the streets. Literally.Seven of 14 celebs on The Apprentice's first celebrity edition were behind two Sabrett hot-dog carts in midtown Manhattan Friday afternoon to tape a challenge for the NBC show. Led by Americas Got Talent judge Piers Morgan on the megaphone, the celebrities stopped curious passersby for a donation to charity and an authentic New York street hot dog. At another location, some of the female contestants (including Omarosa, Marilu Henner and Playmate Tiffany Fallon) were manning their own cart. While Morgan was the moneyman for his team, country-music star Trace Adkins, actor Stephen Baldwin and UFC fighter Tito Ortiz served up the franks. Heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, Sopranos star Vinnie Pastore and Kiss frontman Gene Simmons handled the crowd, gladly posing for pictures as long as a donation was made and a hot dog was sold.A few celebrity friends stopped ...

How's that for a headline?Real quick, because I gotta jet. But I had the thought that Lindsay Lohan's "comeback vehicle," once she dries out and whatnot, could be the Jenna Jameson biopic that has been getting shopped around to assorted starlets. (For the uninitiated, Ms. Jameson is an adult film star and author of How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, on which the film in question is based.) Scarlett Johansson has said no to the gig, as has apparently Jessica Simpson, but there is buzz that the project could prove to be Oscar fodder for the right actress (and, obviously, with an especially capable production team).Because let's face it a lot of people have written LiLo off, arguing that she has crossed a line, partied too hard and been involved in too many infractions to be taken seriously anymore. Or at least for now. This Jameson bio, meanwhile, will likely be indie fare, so what if Lindsay came in under the radar, acted the bejesus out of the thing g...

Crushing pretty much the world's entire heterosexual male population, Scarlett Johansson has let it be known that she will not be playing X-rated movie star Jenna Jameson in Heartbreaker, a movie about Jameson's checkered past. "Scarlett
has no interest in playing this role," sniffs her rep. Not even if our own Matt Webb Mitovich would consider her nuanced portrayal of the adult-film scorcher, like, totally the best birthday present ever? In other casting news, Ryan Reynolds is thisclose to playing the underling that brittle boss Sandra Bullock strong-arms into marriage to avoid deportation in The Proposal.... Also, ABC has signed Party of Five alum Scott Wolf to a development deal. All of which will be cold comfort to Matt.

Or Christina Aguilera. Those two lookers, with Rachel McAdams and Heather Graham, represent Jenna Jameson's wish list to portray the on-camera undulator in a film based on her autobiography How to Make Love Like a Porn Star. "This is a role that every girl in Hollywood is going to want to play," Jameson tells the Adult Video News website (which I, um, found under my dad's bed). "It's dramatic and comedic.... It's got all the ingredients of something worthy of Oscar contention." (Or at least a con named Oscar's attention.) Scarlett Johansson's resume, it should be noted, now includes being named Sexiest Woman of the Year by the brand-new issue of Playboy.A producer on the biopic, Jameson says, "I'm really excited," adding, "This is the biggest thing I've ever done" which, when you think about it, is saying something.
