CBS' The Young and the Restless leads the pack of Daytime Emmy Award nominees, which were announced on Wednesday morning.
The Young and the Restless scored 23 nominations, helping CBS to become the most-nominated network this year with 50 total nods. PBS, which broadcasts Sesame Street, was right behind with 44.

Don't mess with Summer Newman. On Monday, Nov. 5, CBS' The Young and the Restless kicks off a cyberbully story featuring the gorgeous but troubled teen played by Hunter King. Summer will create a fake identity on FacePlace — that's Y&R's version of Facebook — in order to friend Jamie (Daniel Polo), the boy being mentored by Genoa City cop Ronan Malloy (Jeff Branson).

Jeff Branson — whom you likely know as All My Children's Jonathan Lavery, but who also guested on CBS' Guiding Light a few years back as a "young" Alan Spaulding — is back on GL, this time inhabiting the role of Shayne Lewis. The thing is, thus far Shayne is going by another name over in Germany, effectively eluding Dinah's radar.

Jeff Branson, familiar to All My Children fans from his run as the troubled Jonathan Lavery, is joining the cast of CBS' Guiding Light in the recast role of Shayne Lewis. Though Branson's first air date as Shayne is Dec. 1, he actually has appeared on GL before, in another capacity rather effectively playing a young Alan Spaulding in flashbacks surrounding 2004's Carrie Carruthers murder mystery.Shayne most recently was portrayed by Marty West, in August 2004. Engeman Theater in Northport, Long Island, TheaterMania reports.A few other soap-star sightings to keep an eye out for: Florencia Lozano (ex-Téa, OLTL) plays an affluent Manhattan mom in the CW's Gossip Girl (premiering Sept. 19)....
