Keck's Exclusives First Look: Desperate Housewives' James Denton Lives Again!

James Denton

James Denton is proving there's life after death on Wisteria Lane. Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has invited James, along with a handful of other actors who took their deaths gracefully (ahem), to appear in the May 13 series ender.

"I'm pretty stoked," says the former Mike Delfino. "A lot of great actors will be on that street — Steven Culp [Rex], Roger Bart [George], Richard Burgi [Karl], among others. If you gotta be dead, that's pretty good company." Add Lupe Ontiveros (Mama Solis) to the list, plus at least one more victim who will die in the finale, Marc says.

Keck's Exclusives: Springfield Plays Cleveland

Rick Springfield

Rick Springfield is coming to Cleveland, but concert tickets are not available. The '80s Jesse's Girl icon, who appeared as Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital, will pop up this summer on an episode of TV Land's Hot in Cleveland.

Rather than going after Jesse's girl, Rick will have his eye on Joy (Jane Leeves). In the storyline, Rick has relocated to Cleveland to live a quieter life (where he, too, is considered hotter!) and tells people his name is Tom.

The Guide to Wednesday TV: Two New Comedies to Hate, the Whitechapel Finale

The Exes

Comedy is very hot this TV season — thank ABC's best-of-class Wednesday comedies (all in repeats tonight), CBS' Monday blockbusters, NBC's cult faves and Fox's giddy New Girl — but two lousy new sitcom arrivals buck the trend, leaving a sour aftertaste.

Normally I'd celebrate at any circumstance that shrinks The X Factor to 90 minutes, but in this case, it opens the door for Fox's unpleasant I Hate My Teenage Daughter (9:30/8:30c), which traps two gifted comedians — My Name Is Earl's Emmy-winning spitfire Jaime Pressly and two-time Tony-winning scene-stealer Katie Finneran — in no-win roles as shrill moms who used to be ugly ducklings and are now cowed by their bratty offspring (forgettably rendered by Aisha Dee and Kristi Lauren), who are turning out to be the sort of spoiled mean girls who tormented the moms back when they were in high school.

Keck's Exclusives: Scoop on Modern Family, Army Wives and More

Rico Rodriguez

I stopped by a couple of charity benefits last week where I picked up some fun scooplets. My thanks to the folks at the Alzheimer Association's Night at Sardi's Fundraiser and The Humane Society's Genesis Awards for the red carpet access — and the salad, entrée and dessert.

ABC's Modern Family is ending its second season by adding a new series regular. The name of this pretty young new character: Bridgette. Who is she, you ask? "We're getting a French bulldog for me to hang out with," reports Rico Rodriguez (Manny). "She'll probably be ...
