Survivor's Sash: I Thought the Jury Would Have More Respect For the Game

Matthew Lenahan's nickname on Survivor: Nicaragua was "Sash," but he might as well have been called The Comeback Kid. He started out with a strong social game and an equally manipulative ally in Brenda Lowe. But after Brenda was blindsided, and after allies NaOnka Mixon and Kelly Shinn quit the game, Sash seemed destined to fail. Thanks to several key strategic moves, however, Sash made it to the final three. The only problem? The jurors favored emotional connections over smart plays and he received a stunning zero votes for the million dollars. The 30-year-old real estate broker from New York, N.Y. spoke with TVGuide.com about why he thought he could win, how Fabio Birza changed the game and his thoughts on Jane Bright's tribal council remarks...read more

Survivor's Chase Says He Drove Himself Crazy with Wishy-Washy Game Play

With his Southern charm and strapping body, Chase Rice was one of Survivor: Nicaragua's players to watch. The only thing standing in his way? Himself. Although he surrounded himself with manipulative allies like Brenda Lowe and Sash Lenahan, Chase was far from skilled when it came to strategizing and became known for his constant wavering and indecisiveness. One minute he was with Brenda, the next he was voting her out. One minute he picked ...read more

Survivor's Jane on Her "Crushing Blow" and How Her Age Held Her Back

Thanks to her candid nature, surprisingly tough physical presence and resourcefulness (she started a fire with reading glasses), Jane Bright gave Survivor: Nicaragua's older tribe a fighting chance. Those attributes combined with personal tragedy (she lost her husband to cancer in 2009) made her a huge threat to her competition as someone the jury would surely vote for to win the million dollars. However, Jane learned she was a big threat a little too late and was booted from the game in the penultimate episode. The 56-year-old dog trainer spoke with TVGuide.com about why she was so disappointed in Chase Rice, what kept her from aligning with Fabio Birza and why she thinks she wouldn't have the $1,000,000 prize. (Hint: It's a...read more

Survivor’s Benry on His Big Blindside: I Thought I Had Chase in My Back Pocket

With dominant, reality TV-friendly personalities NaOnka Mixon, Holly Hoffman and Jane Bright — oh, and the (faux?) cluelessness of Fabio Birza — on the screen, Ben "Benry" Henry flew under the radar for the first half of Survivor: Nicaragua. But as soon as his impressive physical skills in challenges became a threat to the equally strong Chase Rice, Benry was blindsided by Chase and his alliance faster than you can say "hidden immunity idol." The 24-year-old club promoter talked with TVGuide.com about how his competitive nature did him in, why he thought he had Chase in his "back pocket" — and last week's quitters... read more

Survivor's Marty: Jane’s Anger and Hatred is Inexplicable to Me

After his attack on her during last week's Tribal Council, it was only a matter of time before Jane Bright got back at Marty Piombo on Survivor: Nicaragua — saying "you are a disgrace to any man who calls himself a father." She only said it to the camera, though, and just as Marty was on his way out of the game. The 48-year-old castaway tells TVGuide.com how "appalled" he was by Jane's final remarks, her surprising plea to him on the game's first day and why he doesn't regret calling her out... read more
