Taylor Swift, Kanye West Named Billboard's Top Artists of 2009

Taylor Swift must share her spotlight once again with Kanye West. Billboard Magazine has named Swift the top female artist of 2009 and West the top male artist.

Swift also was chosen's Billboard's top artist of the year — Kanye was sixth on that list.

Jamie Foxx says he does not want Miley Cyrus to catch Chlamydia from a bicycle seat or make a sex tape or have a gum transplant.

Out to do damage control, Foxx apologized to Cyrus on Tuesday's Tonight Show for the profanity-laced tirade he made about the actress on his Sirius radio show, The Foxxhole, on Sunday.

The laugh-centric cabler then announced a development slate featuring:• National Banana Already in Progress, a late-night sketch show exec-produced by Jerry Zucker (Airplane!).• A scripted comedy produced by Def Jam's Russell Simmons and starring Run DMC's "Run."• A half-hour laffer exec-produced by and starring William H. With an eye on the possible writers' strike and a Christmas 2008 release, Columbia is fast-tracking Angels & Demons, the Ron Howard-directed follow-up to The Da Vinci Code, for a February production start.... Also per Variety, Dakota and Elle Fanning will star with Cameron Diaz in an adaptation of the Jodi Picoult novel My Sister's Keeper.... Michael Mann is developing the mob drama Frankie Machine as a star vehicle for Robert De Niro.... According to the Reporter, Woody Harrelson will join Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum in Oliver Stone's new Vietnam drama Pinkville.... At noon today Comedy Central will launch DailyShow.com, a new online destination boasting 16,000 clips, nearly the entire video archive from the past nine years. (Simultaneously, workplace productivity nationwide is expected to drop 85 percent.) Per the Reporter, Kilborn-era material could be added by early 2008.... The reunited Spice Girls will give their debut TV performance on The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, airing Dec. 4 on CBS. Kanye West and Seal will also croon alongside the balconette bras.... TBS announced on Tuesday morning that in addition to renewing 10 Items or Less for a second season, it has the following series in development: Uncommon Sense, a domestic comedy penned by Larry Miller; Big Shot, a Jamie Foxx-produced series about a teenage NBA rookie; a Dave Caplan (Drew Carey Show)-penned laffer about a woman who finds humor in life despite adversity; and Bob Newhart: In Search of Comedy, a late-night comedy anthology.Over at A&E, Ice Cube has been tapped to produce Good in the Hood, a reality-series pilot in which a reformed gang member, drug dealer or thief helps similar folk turn their lives around. read more

Universal Pictures has opted to push back the Jamie Foxx-Jennifer Garner action thriller The Kingdom from Apr. 20 to Sept. 28, as the result of a successful research screening. read more

Oprah and Friends Front New Oscars Special

ABC has inked a deal for Oprah Winfrey to host her own pre-Oscars interview special, Variety reports. Whereas Barbara Walters does the Q&Aing herself on her own annual chitchats, Oprah has recruited Academy Award winners Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Jamie Foxx to each interview an Oscar winner they admire. Ergo, the Pretty Woman will gab with BFF George Clooney, Kidman will kibbitz with fellow Aussie Russell Crowe, and Foxx will sit down with Sidney Poitier.This special — which surely will feature "Oprah Winfrey Presents" somewhere in its title — will air Feb. 22 at 10 pm/ET, three days before this year's Oscars. read more
