24, CSI and Without a Trace

Senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor answer your burning questions. Be sure to direct any new seekage of spoilers to mega_scoop@tvguide.com

The new 24 trailer is totally awesome! I seriously can't wait for Season 7. I'm in urgent need of some scoop to satisfy this 24 craving of mine! — Jack
MATT:
First off, how much do I doubt your name is actually Jack? Too coincidental. But yeah, the new trailer is very much awesome — especially when Bauer tells you-know-who, "I will kill you, and you'll stay dead this time." Speaking of resurrections, the trailer also suggests to me that someone who I thought I saw die in the prequel movie (coming to you Nov. 23) has somehow been granted a second life. Interesting.

Can we expect anything of substance regarding the rest of the Without a Trace cast beyond the Jack and Samantha storyline? — Jennifer
MICKEY:
Boy, do I have good news for you, Jen. An upcoming episode will ... read more

HIMYM's Robin Sparkles Hearts Dawson!

All of you How I Met Your Mother Fans probably have fond memories of the episode from 2006 where Robin revealed her darkest secret to the bunch; that she was, in fact, a Canadian teen pop star. We couldn't get enough of Robin Sparkles and her video "Lets Go to the Mall." But wait, because on tonight's episode we get to see another long lost video, "Sandcastles in the Sand," with cameos from James Van Der Beek, Alan Thicke and the original Pop Princess—Tiffany! read more

The April 21 episode of How I Met Your Mother is turning into a wonderful '80s flashback. Already marking the return of Robin Sparkles, the outing will feature visits from former teen popstress Tiffany and Growing Pains' Alan Thicke, playing Ms. Sparkles' gal pal and father, respectively, in a newly unearthed video for "Sandcastles in the Sand," a ballad Robin wrote upon being dumped by her backup-dancer beau (Dawson's Creek's James Van Der Beek).HIMYM co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas wrote and composed "Sandcastles in the Sand" as the B-side of "Let's Go to the Mall," using iconic '80s breakup ballads such as "Foolish Beat" and "Toy Soldiers" as inspiration. With Michael Gross (Family Ties) having guested as Ted's pop and Bob Saget (Full House) playing narrator, Thicke represents the third classic '80s dad to get involved with the CBS sitcom. What's your take? Is this shaping up to be one of Mother's best eps? — MWM read more

I Heart Ugly Wanda!

Episode Recap: "Grin and Bear It"Wilhemina was in her full glory tonight. My favorite scenes were Pretty Willie (as Meade Publications' cochair) being introduced to some of the company's other publishing treasures, and Ugly Wanda weaving us through her evening at Studio 54 as Fey's mousey assistant, spying on her boss entwined with Amanda's mystery dad with the Tweety Bird tattoo on his ass. Priceless!Speaking of spies, Syd's double-agent dad on Alias is now torturing the wounded artistes in Betty's writing class. His brand of teaching involves nick-naming Betty "Clappy" and/or "Crappy" and encouraging them to attempt suicide or start a knife fight — whatever gives them something to write about. I love Victor Garber; I hope we see more of him!No wonder the usually self-assured Betty lost her nerve during class and claimed the bear-victim story was hers. The poor girl can't get away with anything! Soon she found herself Prof. Barrett's teacher's pet, then at the "New York Review... read more
