General Hospital nabbed a leading 18 Daytime Emmy Award nominations Wednesday as it goes for its 11th outstanding drama series trophy.
The ABC soap, which has won outstanding drama series more times than any other show, will vie for the top honor against All My Children, defending champion The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. General Hospital last won the award in 2008.

This week's All My Children explosion will claim at least one casualty: corporate titan Ethan Ramsey Cambias, played by the handsomest man in the northern hemisphere, James Scott. FYI: Although Ethan will breathe his last on Monday, Feb. 24, word is Scott will continue to air on AMC either in ghostly visitations, fantasies or flashbacks. Let's hope another soap snaps up this British looker soon! Doing him in is truly a sin.
