James Franco's grandmother has a few choice words for audiences too scared to watch 127 Hours, which includes a graphic scene where her grandson's character cuts off his arm.
In a new Funny or Die video, Franco asks his grandmother — who sports a T-shirt that reads "I kept my eyes open for 127 Hours" — if she has anything to say about those who can't bear to sit through the movie. "I think they're a bunch of p------," she replies.

General Hospital, James Franco
James Franco couldn't be cooler — and hotter — these days. The guy has earned the reviews of a lifetime for his performance in 127 Hours. He's considered a shoo-in Academy Award nominee for best actor. And he and Anne Hathaway have been picked to co-host the Oscar ceremony on Sunday, February 27. But he's not forgetting about General Hospital! Franco, who twice appeared on the ABC soap as a serial killer, has agreed to return for a two-episode stint airing the Friday before the Oscar telecast and the day after. It'll serve as a teaser for a longer story arc ...
As the TV calendar year begins to wind down, here's some of what got me wound up about TV this week.
FINALE WATCH: DOGGONE GOOD: And now the waiting begins, with these appropriately ambiguous final words as Hank and Britt reach a crossroads in FX's terrific Terriers season (hopefully not series) finale: "Which way will it be?" There's little doubt that Hank will deliver his partner and best bud Britt to prison to serve time for his jealousy-fueled assault on the guy-who-didn't-sleep-with-Katie.
Anne Hathaway, James Franco
James Franco and Anne Hathaway will co-host the 83rd Academy Awards, Oscar producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced Monday.

Well, wonder no more.
The actor/full-time college student graces the cover of Candy magazine in drag, with slicked-back hair, jewelry, long black gloves and heavy make-up (check out that eye shadow). Fashion photographer Terry Richardson shot the spread.

Steve Burton and Vanessa Marcil
You could say she's arguably the soap world's most popular female star — but there's really no argument about it. Nobody stirs up a fan fuss quite like Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo, who returns to General Hospital Aug. 11 as drama queen Brenda Barrett. The actress, who recently wed CSI: NY regular Carmine Giovinazzo, hasn't been seen on GH since 2003 ...
True Blood, The Bachelorette
TV took a few risks this week. Entourage's Ari betrayed a client. An artist created a shocking portrait of a beloved Disney character. True Blood had us clutching our pearls at a genuinely revolting vampire sex scene. James Franco made us worry about his career choices. And Bachelorette Ali sent a potential suitor hobbling off into the sunset.
Freaks and Geeks
Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared, two short-lived TV series from Judd Apatow, are heading to IFC.
The network has picked up the rights to air repeats of both in full, which includes 18 episodes from Geeks, debuting Friday at 11/10c.
The 17 episodes — including...
James Franco, General Hospital
Cheers to James Franco for achieving the impossible: getting me to watch a soap opera.
I hadn't dialed up a daytime drama since my brief, inexplicable high-school addiction to the recently snuffed-out Guiding Light, but I caught a bit of James Franco's bizarre turn as nutso performance artist Franco on General Hospital last fall, and I tuned back in to see his return. He didn't disappoint: Resurfacing in Port Charles as a...
