After a botched holdup, a gang of robbers plots to raid the Dodge House and steal cattle rancher Henry Squire's herd. Matt, Henry and Henry's grandson, Little Bit, are tasked with fighting off the unruly outlaws.

Dave Linz is blessed with an attractive wife, but she's unfaithful to him, and a web of jealousy and paranoia soon leads to a shooting. Quint witnesses the crime, but before he can say anything, he's knocked out and tossed down a dry well.

Cliff Shanks is down on his luck, evicted from his ranch and losing his cattle and wife to another man. When he goes to Colorado to pan for gold, he meets up with Print Quimby (Buddy Ebsen), who has a surefire idea to turn his fortune around.

After serving three years in jail for deceiving the people in Dodge about a gold mine, Jim Forbes returns with the hopes of reopening the mine and paying the town back with the gold. But some townsfolk are seeeking more immediate retribution.
