Scott Porter, Jaime King
At first glance, Jaime King's character Lemon Breeland on Hart of Dixie seems like the perfect Southern woman — with a side of attitude. But King says there's a world of hurt inside her.
"You find out that Lemon's mother left her when she was 16 years old, so she has a really big hole there," King tells TVGuide.com. "This huge desire to be perfect, have people like her and to be the perfect woman comes from her thinking that maybe it's something she did that caused her mom to leave."

Scott Porter
You don't have to tell Scott Porter that a show like Friday Night Lights — the football drama that won Emmys, a Peabody and inspired a catchphrase ("clear eyes, full heart, can't lose!") — doesn't come around often. He already knows.
"It was a lightning-in-the-bottle moment of magic with Friday Night Lights and I know that I can never do that again. So to do something starkly different, but still try and capture that same type of magic and create and own a character was great," Porter says. "I wanted a show to be able to call my own again."

My Generation
If The Breakfast Club had been filmed like The Real World, it might look something like My Generation, a docu-style drama chronicling nine fictional Austin high-school students over the last 10 years. Every actor plays both 18-year-old and 28-year-old versions of their characters.
Jaime King (Gary Unmarried), 31, plays Jackie Vachs, "the Beauty Queen," who went to Hollywood but came back to Austin with her dreams unfulfilled. "When she's young, she's open and vibrant and fun," King says. "And now she has a life she never would have chosen."

More than 50 stars gathered for the multi-network Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon on September 10. While most of their focus was on fund-raising, TV Guide Magazine got them to divulge some TV scoop.
- Eva La Rue, who works with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition because the women in her family have a predisposition for the disease, could barely contain her poker face when she told TV Guide Magazine exclusively about a rumor going around the CSI: Miami set. "We've got some really great cases and great storylines, but one of the best rumors I've heard is that Lady Gaga wants to do the show. How cool would that be? We all have a line of family members that would want to be trotted to set that day if that was the case." A big fan of the singer, LaRue would love the rumor to be true, although she hopes it wouldn't involve Gaga-esque costumes. "I don't think we'd be very effective at a crime scene in latex or a bubble dress. Could you imagine Horatio in a leotard?" No, but the gun bra might come in handy.

If dying is the hardest thing to do on film, then screaming must be a close second. "Screaming is more nerve-racking than doing an intense monologue or a scene in a bikini! It's a very vulnerable experience," says Jaime King, who got her shriek on in 2009's My Bloody Valentine and is currently helping whittle down a crop of wannabe actresses as host of VH1's Scream Queens 2 (Monday, 10/9c). The reality contest's top prize? A role in the upcoming Saw 3D. We polled King for the Top 5 essentials to being a scream queen...
