TNT has ordered a second season of nursing drama HawthoRNe.
The cable network has asked for 10 more episodes of the series, which stars Jada Pinkett Smith and Michael Vartan. The new episodes are set to air in 2010.

TNT is heating up this summer, rolling out two brand-new dramas alongside new seasons of your favorites.
Jada Pinkett Smith's nursing drama, HawthoRNe will debut Tuesday, June 16 at 9 pm/ET, according to Variety. The show, which also stars Michael Vartan, follows Smith as tough but caring nurse manager at a North Carolina hospital. HawthoRNe will be followed by the returning Saving Grace, which will air its third season on Tuesdays at 10 pm all summer.

TNT has given the greenlight to two new original series.
The network announced their new babies Thursday: A character-driven medical drama Time Heals, starring Jada Pinkett Smith (The Matrix Trilogy), and the fast-paced, undercover police drama The Line, starring Dylan McDermott (The Practice).

Jada Pinkett Smith is coming back to television. Pinkett Smith has signed on to play the lead in TNT's new drama pilot, Time Heals. She will play Nancy Hawthorne, a unsung hero and single mom who works as the nursing director at Charlotte Mercy Hospital in North Carolina.
