  • Got in trouble in college for keeping ducks in his dorm room. Also tried to smuggle a donkey onto campus. 
  • Began hosting a television show in 1981 called Hanna's Ark.
  • Published his autobiography, Monkeys on the Interstate, in 1989.
  • Was named one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in 1996.
  • Has been granted honorary doctorates from Muskingum College, Otterbein College and Capital University.
