The best way to prep for a first day back at work? For Heroes' Jack Coleman, spa treatments at the grand opening of Spa Luce at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. Though the show earlier this week resumed shooting Thursday, Friday is Coleman's first day back. As such, pampering was in order for him, along with his wife, Beth, and daughter, Tess. TV Guide took the opportunity to get a peek at what's coming up on the long-missing NBC series. What's in the cards for Noah Bennett this season? "I'm currently incarcerated and at the bottom of Level Five in the company facility," Coleman told TV Guide. "I think there may be an escape in the offing, but at a cost." Surprisingly, Noah might not be considered one of the villains at the forefront of the upcoming season. "I think I'm probably more likely to be hunting them," he says. "But on our show there are always uneasy and unexpected alliances." As for other characters, Coleman says viewers will be seeing more of Hiro. "He's firmly planted ...
Episode Recap: "Cautionary Tales"This episode lived up to everything Heroes means to its fans. It was the best of the season. Im going to write this by character, instead of scene for scene. Well save the best for last.Claire: Now we know exactly how the power of cellular regeneration works. Angela Petrelli explained if the cells continually regenerate, they stop growing old. I think many of us knew that or at least had the right thought process. We dont know how many times Adam or Claire have died. Adam has a 400 year head-start, but Im glad to see Claire will continue to age. I think she would choose a mortal life over Adams. Hiro: To eulogize him is to admit he is gone. Masi Oka was wonderful tonight! He had me in tears. His attempt at saving his father explained so much. Weve all been wondering why didnt Hiro just go back
for so many instances throughout the series. Tonight we g...
Kristen Bell and Hayden Panettiere, Heroes
This is our kinda hostage crisis! Heroes went on location to the beach at San Pedro, California, to shoot a scene (airing tonight, 9 pm/ET, on NBC) in which Company men Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Bob (Stephen Tobolosky) plan to swap Claire (Hayden Panettiere) for Bob’s daughter Elle (Kristen Bell), who is being held by Claire’s pop HRG (Jack Coleman). Got that? The chick exchange will lead to a deadly climax — one prophesied in an Isaac Mendez painting — but right now Panettiere and Bell just wanna have fun. We sat down with these two real-life pals for a seaside chitchat.

In the first season of Heroes (Mondays at 9 pm/ET, NBC), Adrian Pasdar's Nathan Petrelli seemed to have it all: a loving family, a swank house, a successful Senate bid. But he sacrificed it all to save New York from nuclear apocalypse by flying off with his brother, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia), right before his bro went boom. As this season began, a scruffy Nathan seemed to have lost everything. Pasdar spoke to TVGuide.com about his c

Episode Recap: "Out Of Time"Welcome to November Sweeps. The writers are on strike, NBC is green and Heroes is back!If youre reading this, there is a good chance you are a regular at the Heroes TV Guide blog. Lets get right to it.Last week, I mentioned Mr. Bennets sloppy handy work in Ukraine. I knew he would get caught! He also destroyed the remaining paintings. Two of which, came true in tonights episode. The battle between Kensei and Hiro and Peters distraught first look at human extinction. Many of you should give yourselves pats on the back! As I watched tonights episode so many of your predictions and comments in the past weeks came true. Especially, when Kensei turned out to be Adam Monroe! So, Kensei/Adam and Claire are immortal. I think they remain forever young at the age they realize they have powers. It looks like we will never see Claire at happy hour. Who liked this episode as much as I did? I know its been slow...

Episode Recap: The LineHeroes has never made me lose interest, but it did get off to a slow start. I knew tonight would be a good episode. OK, I hoped tonight would be a great episode. It was the lead-in to November sweeps. However, I didnt want to set my expectations too high. Ive noticed a growing trend with network television: they build up the months of November, February and May for Nielsen ratings, and then leave us hanging. Sometimes, the episodes that air during those sweeping months live up to the abundance of promos, previews and annoying scroll lines under everything you watch. Other times, a ferry crashes and we are left with the letters WTF on our minds. That being said, lets recap.Weve all been through high school hell, and Ive watched the genius of Tina Fey's Mean Girls, but do people like the cheerleading captain really exist? If so, then she got what she deserved. (When she wrote the number of pounds to lose on the girls' f...

Episode Recap: "Fight or Flight"What would you do if you were faced with your greatest fear?It was around this time last season that Eden sacrificed herself. I was shocked when she fought against Sylar and managed to take her own life before he could steal her power. Tonight, Ricky sacrificed himself as well. He may not have stuck his finger into a socket on his own, but he did lie to protect Peter and his sister. In the end, he paid with his life. He literally was toast." So, Peter and Elle have met before. Also, the box? A passport and ticket to Montreal! Thats it? I really thought there would be more to it.I am a Veronica Mars fan. So, I was psyched to finally see Kristen Bell tonight. Sadly, I was a bit disappointed. Maybe its my own fault; my expectations were too high. I know her character is going to get interesting, but when? The list of questions continues: Who is her father? Is she good, evil or confused? Do she and/or her father work for The Company? Wh...

Episode Recap: "The Kindness of Strangers"This wasnt the strongest episode of the second season, but it did offer some insight. Not every chapter of a story is meant to be entertaining. Each chapter has a purpose: Some may hold solutions, while others bridge the gaps between clues. I know many have complained about the increase of characters. The truth is, in order to have death, we need more life. I cant think of a former Hero I am ready to part with, so if a newbie bites the dust, I wont feel so bad. However, Id like Micahs cousin to stick around for a while. Not the bratty wrestling fan — the other cousin. Monica Dawson is a fast learner. When Monica sees something — a somewhat simple task (Im sure she cant regenerate or fly by viewing) — she can mimic it. For example, she carved a tomato into a rose and used a "pro" wrestling move on a thief. I think she can only perform this power when she sees something o...
Peter has made some new friends. Holt McCallany by Chris Haston/NBC
Episode Recap: "Kindred"I always doubted Candaces death. In the season finale, she was lying on the floor defeated and lifeless, but it didnt make sense. If she had died, her body would have changed to its original physical appearance. From the remarks she made about her weight and eating habits, I knew she wasnt the thin, pretty brunette from last season or the tall redhead from this episode. Sylar proved my theory correct: she was an older, overweight woman. We know this, because and please, stop reading if you havent watched the episode yet he killed her.Sylar returned and hes weak. Why cant he use his powers? Has he simply forgotten how, or are his injuries so severe that his body cant handle it? I think it has something to do with the Company. The Company has something to do with everything.Monhinders new workspace is Isaacs old apartment. Nice move NBC, you saved money and time on settings and ba...

Episode Recap: "Lizards" Warning. This is your SPOILER ALERT! If you have not watched this weeks episode, please do not read this blog/recap until you do . . . Leapin' regenerating lizards! I jumped out of my seat at the end of the show and did a happy dance. This episode was all about the heroes we know, love and have missed! We knew Peter survived. We also knew he got a haircut and lost his memory. Does the box really hold his past? Im glad to see he still has all of his powers. When Caitlin was washing off his blood, I thought, Why hasnt he healed yet? And then: ta-da! The blood was gone and no marks remained. I was surprised to see that Mr. Nakamuras death made California news. Did that shock anyone else? I know the guy was a big time CEO in Japan, but he was murdered in New York and I dont see why his death was front page news in Cali (maybe because the west coast is closer to Japan?) but Im glad it did, because ...
