Izabella Miko Fast Facts:

Was born in Communist Poland.
Was dancing before she could walk, and grew up wanting to be a ballerina.
Studied ballet for years in Warsaw, Poland, and in New York City; injuries to her vertebrae, knees and ankles ended her dreams of a career in dance.
Returning to Poland, she was cast in Lithuania You're My Motherland, a silent TV movie, and caught the acting bug.
Made her American movie debut in Coyote Ugly (2000).
Has a line of luxury candles, which she uses to raise money for her environmental foundation EkoMiko.
Enjoys cooking and studying languages.
