Inside the Boardroom with Ivanka Trump

Ivanka Trump, The Celebrity Apprentice

The boardroom's far from boring when Ivanka Trump hangs with her pops on The Celebrity Apprentice (Thursdays at 9 pm/ET, NBC). In fact, the Wharton Business School grad may be the "dumb blonde" joke's worst enemy. TV Guide: OK, I am loving this season!Ivanka Trump: I think a lot of people are loving it, which has been a great relief to us all. It's been a lot of fun and I think we allowed a bit of breathing room. My father was very right — he'd been saying for a long time that it was too much. The shows were happening either concurrently, when it was Martha Stewart's and ours, or just back-to-back seasons. And I think the angle of the celebrity factor keeps it very exciting. TV Guide: How nuts were those boardroom scenes with the celebrities fighting all the time? Trump: We don't hav read more

Jessica Biel, Ivanka Trump Lay Down the Bare Facts

Jessica Biel by Steve Granitz/WireImage.com

Though still haunted by her super-racy circa-2000 Gear spread, Jessica Biel is prepared to reveal what makes a onetime Sexiest Woman Alive most qualified for her role as a stripper in the upcoming Powder Blue — within limits. "[Jessica] signed a contract that explicitly details the bare minimum fans will see, including shots of her breasts and butt," a source tells Us.Similarly, current Stuff cover gal Ivanka Trump — who this time gave the Donald a heads-up about her second pictorial for the lad mag — set clear parameters about what she would bare. "I told them, 'No midriff, no bikini bottoms,'" she shares with the New York Post. And no unsightly hairpieces, either, I imagine. read more

Ivanka Trump Has "Zero" Interest in Joining The View

Ivanka Trump by Virginia Sherwood/NBC Photo

Responding to gossip-column buzz that she is/was on the short list to fill a vacancy on The View, Ivanka Trump is making the rounds, making clear her intent. "There's zero chance I would do that," the Donald's daughter said on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS radio show. That said, she allowed that a guest-host gig "could be interesting." Why does the brainy blonde have no interest in signing on for the gabfest? Citing the many "sexy" business deals she oversees, she tells ET, "At the end of the day I'm not a television personality, and I'm not willing to give up that amount of time towards a daily show." read more

Kimmel Forced to Yank Andy Dick Away from Trump

Never has the word "Andy" been such a game-changer, eh?At this past Friday's taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live, comedian Andy Dick had to be forcibly removed from the stage when he ignored repeated requests to cease touching/poking/caressing Guest No. 2, Ivanka Trump. (Video here.) Even despite the talker host's warning that, "Donald Trump will kill both of us," the possibly inebriated Dick persisted in pawing the titan's pretty offspring, requiring security guards to literally drag him off stage, down the hall, past hair-and-makeup, and back into obscurity. read more

January 14, 2007: Pink Is the New Black... Or So They Say

The Donald is all about surprises this year. I can't believe the winner of this swimsuit competition doesn't have to compete in a task next week! What else will he surprise us with this season? I'm wondering how that will work next week, though. Will the team actually doing the task still sleep outside when it's over and just be down an extra teammate? Or is there potential for them to take over the mansion? But back to this episode... Carey and Aaron have different opinions about the male suits. Tiny Trunks vs Hell No. The pink floral shorts that Arrow first produced was an odd design for a male (in my opinion), and the blame lies with Carey. What he proclaimed to be a "gay suit" doesn't appeal to the entire market.Meanwhile, the personalities are really starting to clash now. Michelle's got this hard edge, and she's butting up against everyone else on her team. And some Kinetic members aren't thrilled that Heidi's getting so much attention as the PM.But in the midst of attitudes an... read more

January 7, 2007: Rodeo Drive and Port-A-Potties

OK, Apprentice lovers, beware: As much as I find excitement in this business-minded reality show, Season 6 might not be my cup of tea, or uh, glass of champagne. Right from the start, I was rolling my eyes. Was it necessary to see Trump calling Melania on his way to the airport? Or him driving his convertible and practically yelling the opening monologue? It was just bizarre and way too staged for me.But on to the candidates. The introductions were... interesting. And if you're an Olympic gold medalist, you get a hug (as awkward as that moment was)! I actually had to rewind and listen twice when Jenn said, "I publish a magazine in my spare time" to actually make sure she said that, before reacting like this: What?! As someone who has worked at several magazines, you don't just publish one in your spare time. But that detail aside, all of these candidates have impressive educational backgrounds, proven successes and ongoing ambitions. I'd say it definitely provides some strong person... read more

Can Ivanka Trump Give The Apprentice Its Sexy Back?

Ivanka Trump, The Apprentice

Five cycles ago, when NBC's The Apprentice was the new kid on the reality-TV landscape, there was no show quite like it. Drenched in the unique metropolitan edginess of New York City and fronted by one of the corporate world's most colorful, if not controversial, personalities, it plumbed the genre in new, exciting and bottled-water-pimping ways. Several years, one Omarosa and a drowsy Lenny later, The Apprentice is struggling to reclaim some of that new-car luster, because, after all, we now know the Donald. We know how the editing and musical cues can tip the show's hand. We know that, among other ingrained rules, flapping yer yapper in the boardroom too much can rouse "the Cobra." A huge first step toward freshening up the series was to set this edition, premiering Sunday at 9:30 pm/ET, read more

TV Guide Reveals Five Big Changes to The Apprentice

The Apprentice

Donald Trump was so excited when filming the sexier sixth edition of The Apprentice — "It's the best we've done," he crows — that he tore off his tie and took off his shoes. "It's different, it's certainly looser," the real-estate tycoon says of the NBC reality show, which returns on Sunday, Jan. 7 (with a 90-minute premiere). TV Guide was offered the exclusive first look at the ramped-up show, which drew just 9.9 million viewers last spring, less than half of 2004's Season 1 average. Here's what to expect. 1. California, Here They ComeThe 18 competitors were flown to L.A., bidding goodbye to the show's traditional corporate setting in Manhattan. But moving to the West Coast doesn't mean hanging out by the pool and soaking up the rays (at least not all the time). The ambitious Trump wannabes ar read more
