Mindy Kaling, Anders Holm
Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) has come a long way since drunkenly crashing her bike into a pool on The Mindy Project's series premiere, but just how much further is she willing to go? All the way to Haiti, perhaps, to follow her boyfriend Casey (Anders Holm)?
Zooey Deschanel and Dylan O'Brien
Everyone's losing it — or more to the point, remembering how they lost it — on one of this season's more uproarious episodes of Fox's New Girl, a reminder of just how potent the comic chemistry can be between Zooey Deschanel and her BFFs when they all hang together, sharing embarrassing stories (some more mortifying than others) about how their "innocence" (such as it never was) was stolen. This episode (Tuesday, 8:58/7:58c) will be especially enjoyable for fans of Max Greenfield's Fat Schmidt slapstick and for those who've been waiting for Lamorne Morris' Winston to emerge from the sidelines and get some major LOL action. Jess (Deschanel) starts the trip down Painful Memory Lane with glimpses from Prom Night, which brings suitors including Teen Wolf's Dylan O'Brien (Stiles!) into her life. But it's Winston's grotesque hook-up and Fat Schmidt's messy night in college with the girlfriend who would become Merritt Wever (from Nurse Jackie) that you're likely to remember. All that and another great payoff at the end. No sophomore slump for this show.
The Mindy Project's Ike Barinholtz and his wife Erica Hanson are expecting a baby, US Magazine reports.
The Mindy Project
What was Mindy Kaling's college strategy to become the success she is today? "I never partied or had boyfriends," she deadpanned at Friday's Paley Festival panel for The Mindy Project.
She's not entirely kidding. She focused on her passion at to the expense of not having a busy social life. "I've dated more people on this season of the show than I've met men in my life," she added. "I never got distracted."
The Mindy Project
The cast changes at The Mindy Project continue.
Recurring star Ike Barinholtz — who plays Morgan and also writes for the freshman Fox sitcom — has been promoted to a series regular, star, creator and executive producer Mindy Kaling revealed at Fox's winter TV previews Tuesday.
The promotion is the most recent of many for The Mindy Project. Stephen Tobolwsky exited in December, Amanda Setton will also soon be departing, and...
Mindy Kaling and Ike Barinholtz
The Mindy Project is back (finally!). Series writer Ike Barinholtz, who also plays Morgan on the Fox sitcom, spoke to TVGuide.com about why viewers need to tune in Tuesday, Mindy's busy love life and what's up with Danny's (amazing) dance moves!
After a three-week hiatus, the freshman comedy returns Tuesday at 9:30/8:30c with an all-new Halloween episode. Sadly, the show will once again be pre-empted next week due to the presidential election, a move Barinholtz calls a mistake.
Jackie Marcus Schaffer and Jeff Schaffer
Talk about special teams! Literally hours after the birth of their daughter this summer, The League's creators and executive producers Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer began filming the cult-fave fantasy football comedy's fourth season (premiering Thursday at 10:30/9:30c on FX). "You had to see our doctor's face," laughs Marcus Schaffer of the delivery-room race to keep the shoot on schedule. "We were trying to explain to him that we had [all] of these professional football players lined up for the next day!" Now that the proud parents can relax a little, they're ready to talk about their other (and far raunchier) labor of love.
Stephen Tobolowsky, Mindy Kaling
Glee's Stephen Tobolowsky, whose credits also include Heroes and Californication, is joining Fox's The Mindy Project as the head of Mindy Kaling's medical practice, while Richard Schiff, who appears in the pilot, won't continue on the show.
