Vampire Diaries Scoop: Klaus Hits Mystic Falls

The Vampire Diaries

Evil is coming to Mystic Falls! Exec producer Julie Plec confirms to TV Guide Magazine that before the end of The Vampire Diaries' second season, viewers will get to meet Klaus — one of the original vampires. "We do not know anything about him other than that he's to be reckoned with and that no one's going to be safe when he gets to town," says Plec. On the Vampire Diaries Set: What the Show Will — and Won't — Take From the Books

Vampire Diaries

Diehard fans of both The Vampire Diaries and the series of books the show is based on know that they aren't the same thing. Certain elements from the novels haven't made it into the show -- but executive producer Julie Plec says that doesn't mean they won't borrow in the future. (Besides, she adds, some of what works in the books comes off, well, a bit "cheesy" on screen!)

The Fur Flies on Tonight's Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries

The moon is full and the wolves are howling in The Vampire Diaries' final new episode until January (airing tonight at 8/7c on The CW). No one in Mystic Falls — good or bad, human or supernatural — is safe. While Elena is in deep emotional pain, "everyone thinks she's unstable," says Dobrev.

Meanwhile, Tyler (Michael Trevino) is in physical hell as he endures his first werewolf transformation... read more
