Meet Sean Bean’s Multiple Legends Identities — But Which One Is Real?

Sean Bean takes the term workaholic to a new level on TNT's Legends.

The latest action series from Howard Gordon (Homeland24) follows Martin Odum (Bean), an agent in the FBI's Deep Cover Operations division who becomes so enmeshed in the personas ("legends") he adopts that the lines between his real and fictional identities start to become blurred.

"This guy ... has a kind of personality disorder, to put it mildly," Bean tells TVGuide.com. "He's a very driven man who creates characters and people from his past experiences. He's very good at it and he totally immerses himself, to a point where he kind of pays quite a big price psychologically."

Will FX's New Family Drama Tyrant Rule?

FX's latest drama Tyrant is a strange case.

The drama (premiering Tuesday at 10/9c) stars Adam Rayner as Bassam "Barry" Al-Fayeed, the second son of a dictator (Nasser Faris) who left his homeland — the fictional Middle Eastern country of Abuddin — and started his own family in California. But when Barry's wife Molly (Jennifer Finnigan) urges him to return to Abuddin after 20 years for his nephew's wedding, Barry is quickly sucked back into the family drama he tried to escape, most notably by his loose-cannon brother Jamal (Ashraf Barhom).

Summer TV: Check out all the must-see new shows

Although the show's attempt to lift the veil on life in the Middle East is the most compelling aspect of the project, it's also perhaps the most problematic when it comes to selling a commercial television show. But the show's creative team...read more

24 Celebrates 200 Episodes: Will Heller Actually Turn Himself Over to Margot?

It may have taken a circuitous route, but on Monday, Fox's 24 franchise will air its 200th episode.

"It's fantastic," series co-creator and executive producer Robert Cochran told reporters of reaching milestone. "It's something that makes us very humble and very thankful for the fans around the world... that have supported us all these years. I can promise you when we started the show, this thing wasn't even in our minds. We were trying to get to Episode 2. We're very thankful for it." .... read more

24: Live Another Day: Is Jack Bauer the Hero or the Villain?

Although Fox's 24: Live Another Day has been billed as an all-new, 12-episode event series, the latest iteration of the Jack Bauer saga will feel very familiar to fans of the ticking-clock action series.

Spring Preview: Check out more of the must-watch new shows

But there is one key difference: After waging a one-man war against members of the Russian government and disappearing off the grid, Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) is now a wanted man. "Jack's in exile in a way he hasn't been before," executive producer Evan Katz tells TVGuide.com.... read more

Kiefer Sutherland Talks Jack Bauer's Return in 24: Live Another Day

At this point, can anything stop Jack Bauer? For eight punishing seasons, the toughest man in TV weathered explosives, torture, his daughter's kidnapping, his own kidnapping, the deaths of his wife and a girlfriend, the murders of his best friend and various bosses, and enough nuclear suitcases, psychos — and, oh, that damned ticking clock! — to send lesser heroes scampering off to a safe house (or an early grave).

Even 24's series finale in 2010 could not keep our hero down. 24: Live Another Day brings Jack back for 12 new installments of murder, madness and more awkward eye contact with intelligence analyst Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub). Picking up four years later, with the action moved to London, the show... read more

Jack Is Back! Watch the First Promo for 24: Live Another Day

Jack Bauer is back and more explosive than ever.

As part of Fox's Super Bowl ads Sunday, the network debuted the first full-length promo for its upcoming 12-episode limited series 24: Live Another Day. The teaser features Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) carrying a very goth-looking Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) in a fiery London street, culminating with Jack shooting at someone off in the distance.

Premiering Monday, May 5 with a two-hour opener, 24: Live Another Day will pick up four years later with Jack as we left him in the series finale: a fugitive. Chloe is now a radical Edward Snowden-type working against the government leading to an antagonistic dynamic between the one-time allies.
