ABC has snatched up two more names for its upcoming child-rearing comedy In the Motherhood.

Horatio Sanz by Joe Kohen/WireImage.com
Saturday Night Live alum Horatio Sanz is the latest to be cast in the ABC fall comedy, Bad Mother's Handbook, sources tell TVGuide.com. Sanz is slated to play Charlotte's (Alia Shawkat) father, Matt. Thus far, the show already has an impressive starting roster. Alicia Silverstone will play a 32-year-old mom who's caring for both her teen daughter and her middle-aged mother, who will be played by Megan Mullally. What remains to be seen is where Silverstone and Sanz are in their relationship: Is he the ex? Are they together? At the very least, they're going to have scenes together, right? With so much talent wrapped up already, the comedy at least has some solid underpinnings for its debut, plus it will be eye-opening (we hope) to see Sanz in a recurring, scripted role. Lorne Michaels has stepped forth with the official cast list for the new season of Saturday Night Live, and it's nearly a third smaller than the year gone by. According to Variety, the ensemble has been trimmed from 16 funnyfolk to 11, with Horatio Sanz, Chris Parnell and Tracy Morgan Finesse Mitchell joining the previously announced departures of Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch (both of whom left to do 30 Rock). As for who will join Amy Poehler at the WU desk, the latest thinking has headwriter Seth Meyers filling Fey's seat. Dane Cook will host SNL's 32nd season-opener on Sept. 30, with The Killers as musical guest.

Seth Meyers, Saturday Night Live
Despite seeing presidential hopeful John Kerry (and thus his portrayal) get snubbed in 2004, Seth Meyers has never stopped being a major part of the mix at NBC's Saturday Night Live (Saturdays, duh, at 11:30 pm/ET). As he prepped for this weekend's show, Meyers — now best known for his bits as haranguing hubby Dan Needler and the Appalachian Emergency Room receptionist, as well as for his impressions of Hugh Grant, Sean Penn and Anderson Cooper — found a few minutes to talk to TVGuide.com about SNL's plans for guest host Matt Dillon, the "real" Natalie Portman and the crazy-delicious digital-shorts

SUPER BOWL XL: EVERYTHING ELSEWell folks, I'm here to cover everything besides the football. The commercials, the entertainment, still more commercials — just think of me as a food critic who's more concerned with the side dishes than the main course. (Mmm, mashed potatoes.) And away we go.
Preshow and HalftimeStevie Wonder and Friends — the friends including John Legend, Joss Stone (so sexy with the bare feet!), India.Arie and a whole mess of dancers — treat us to a head-bopping medley of classics, from "Superstition" to "Dancin' in the Streets." Wow, it's nice to see a Motown tribute done by artists with a vested interest in the genre — as opposed to the annual soulless, badly choreographed version we get on American Idol. The national anthem proves a little tough for me to get through, not because Aaron Neville

Question: Just saw your website for the first time. Gosh, you are an egomaniac! I always wondered. Answer: What's that you ask, Marissa? What are my picks for the 10 worst shows of 2005? I thought you'd never ask!
1. 2005 MTV Video Music Awards: A three-hour pile of overproduced horse poop. Note to viewers: Next time the VMA host feels the need to repeatedly tell you that "anything can happen," trust me: Nothing will.2. The War at Home: Turns out War is hell and horribly written.3. The West Wing (debate episode): Just like a real presidential debate, only duller.4. Saturday Night Live: The women still rock, but the rest of the show feels about as desperate as one of Horatio Sanz's midskit giggle fits.5. Queer as Folk ser

Lock and load... Chris Noth is back in the L&O universe as Det. Mike Logan. But don't be fooled by those flecks of gray at the temples — the dude hasn't mellowed an iota. "I'm a get-along kind of guy," he says, savoring the irony with a pugnacious smile. "I'm just glad to be here." Happily, Logan and Annabelle Sciorra's Det. Carolyn Barek will divide the caseload this season with spoiled, obnoxious Goren and underappreciated Eames (who has a lovely pair of... biceps). Poor Kathryn Erbe deserves a special Emmy just for putting up with Vincent D'Onofrio's serial scene-hogging. He's just asking to be torpedoed by SNL (although that might be asking too much of, say, Horatio Sanz). You know D'Onofrio's ego is out of control when Goren one-ups M.E. Rogers (Leslie Hendrix) during an autopsy. The redheaded Hendrix is the unsung heroine of all the
