This Monday at 9 pm/ET, TNT's Saving Grace resumes its second season, but since we last left off, so much has changed. Namely, Grace has a new partner — Abby Charles, played by guest-star Christina Ricci — while Butch is now paired with Ham, now that Bobby is undercover. Plus, Earl has new business for Grace to tend to, involving death row inmate Leon Cooley. (Oh, and a serial killer is on the loose, too.) Holly Hunter shared a look at the next batch of episodes.
TVGuide.com: There's a fair amount of upheaval being worked through in the squad room when the season resumes. Would you say that "change" is a big theme for what's ahead?
Holly Hunter: I would say that the theme of the entire series is Grace dealing with change. It's hard to ever nail it down to any one thing that she's dealing with. But these days, one thing she's dealing with is forgiveness. She's trying to come around to forgiving herself for things that she's done, for things that have happened in her life that she has blamed herself for.
TVGuide.com: I wasn't too impressed with her new partner, Abby Charles, at first — and neither is Grace. But I assume that changes soon enough?

I suppose I could dwell on the fact that a major Hollywood guild has once again ignored the very existence of TV's finest acting ensemble, Friday Night Lights — in favor of the mugging and posturing on Boston Legal. As they'd say on another SAG favorite, Grey's Anatomy: Seriously? If the barometer of an interesting TV awards show is the number of fresh faces invited to the party, then the Golden Globe nominations (announced Thursday morning) passes the test. Not with a perfect score, mind you. Any institution that so completely ignores NBC's wonderful Friday Night Lights deserves some spirited jeering.And the Globes' addiction to sexy sizzle and hype can lead to some puzzling choices: Big Love, fun as it is, over The Sopranos' final season? Bill Paxton over James Gandolfini? (And if the Globes is going to shower love on Big Love, how could the women who play Bill's wives go unheralded, especially Ginnifer Goodwin?) Question: I liked it when networks put a small logo, usually ghosted in the bottom right of the screen, so I knew what channel I was surfing to. But now the trend seems to be to have an entire billboard down there, and they are getting bigger and bigger! TNT and ABC Family seem to be the biggest offenders so far. I was watching Kyle XY and they had this huge promotion for new episodes of another show starting soon. I though it would go away after the first minute, but it stayed up there the entire time. I find it very distracting. I now tend to stay away from networks that have these "in your face" messages. Do you think there will be a point when shows will be half commercials?
Answer: Don't give them any ideas. It's getting out of hand as it is. This is a new variation on one of my most frequently heard complaints. Question: I enjoyed TNT's The Company and am currently catching up on ESPN's The Bronx Is Burning. My question is, why did TNT have to inundate its presentation of this otherwise serious program with crawling advertisements for other shows? I'm aware that I can also catch Saving Grace on TNT — the network takes every opportunity during the commercial breaks to let me know. Why do I need to see a miniature Holly Hunter walking around at the bottom of the screen during The Company? By comparison, ESPN, a network that arguably doesn't need to take itself as seriously, presents The Bronx Is Burning with only a small network logo in the corner of the screen. TNT had every reason to treat The Company with respect — the show was well executed on many levels. But even the failure to let the ending credits play uninterrupted for a few seconds got on my nerves.
