Harold Ramis Fast Facts:

Served as an editor of the "Party Jokes" page of Playboy magazine after graduating from college.
Worked with both the Canada and Chicago Second City comedy troupes early in his career.
First TV appearance came in 1976, on the debut season of Canadian sketch-comedy series Second City TV, for which he was also a writer.
Made his feature directing debut with the hit golf comedy Caddyshack (1980).
Subsequent hits as a director include the comedies Groundhog Day (1993) and Analyze This (1999).
Best known as an actor for the role of Dr. Egon Spengler in the 1984 smash Ghostbusters, as well as its 1989 sequel.
