Written and directed by Jason Tippet.Since second grade, Matt and Ryan have shared the bond of speech impediments, weapons, and things that go fast. But as their last days of high school speed by, the two friends find that their go-carts, dirt bikes, and RC cars can't outrun adulthood.Programmer's Notes: A graduate of CalArts, Jason Tippet used a six hundred dollar school grant to make Thompson (http://www.myspace.com/thompson_film/), a documentary centered around the friendship of two charismatic boys (Matt Thompson and Ryan Andres) as they enter the throes of adulthood. Jason met the titular character Matt when he crashed Jason's sister's party. Subsequently, the party crasher invited Jason to shoot bow and arrows the next day. Jason along with producer Elizabeth Mims brought along the camera and what resulted is a funny and touching portrait that earned Jason a Jury Award at the 2009 SXSW Film Festival.
