Having recently been renewed for a third season, disproving TV's usual out-of-sight/out-of-mind policy, Fox's The Mindy Project emerges from a three-month hiatus with back-to-back episodes (Tuesday, 9/8c) demonstrating Mindy Kaling's devotion to screwball comedy. A concept which Amy Schumer would probably find a way to make sound really, hilariously dirty. After nearly two seasons of repressed feelings and sexual tension, The Mindy Project's midseason finale shocked viewers when Mindy (Mindy Kaling) and Danny (Chris Messina) shared a passionate kiss on a flight en route back to New York.
"I thought that some people might dig it or some people might not dig it ... but I was definitely kind of shocked that people had such a visceral experience with it," Messina tells TVGuide.com.
Comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele have joined FX's upcoming Fargo adaptation.
The duo, best known for their Comedy Central sketch show Key and Peele, will star in a guest arc in the final four episodes of the 10-episode series.
