Gladys Knight rarely takes on dramatic acting roles, but when she does, she makes them seem effortless. Case in point: the Lifetime holiday movie Seasons of Love, in which she plays Angie, the gracious matriarch of an affluent family, whose husband of 35 years dies on New Year's Eve. The Grammy-winning R&B icon swears that singing and acting are as different as, well, Knight and day.
Her blind audition on The Voice got all four judges to press their buttons. She had not one, but two performances from the show reach the No. 1 spot on the iTunes singles chart during the season. But Season 5 winner Tessanne Chin says she still didn't see her victory coming.
"At the end of it, I was just like, 'Let it be.' We've all done all that we can," Chin told TVGuide.com after Tuesday's results show. "As you can tell, I was very, very shocked."

The 28-year-old Jamaican native was named the victor of Season 5 thanks in small part to her emotional, and subsequently memorable, renditions of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "I Have Nothing."
