Huge - Hayley Hasselhoff
The fat hits the campfire quite literally in Huge, as ABC Family tackles subject matter as tricky as it is weighty and comes up with a winner. This appealing and emotionally engaging series about life in a weight-loss summer camp comes with high expectations, having been co-created by Winnie Holzman, who enthralled a generation with the short-lived but long-remembered My So-Called Life.
Working with her daughter Savannah Dooley (with Holzman's husband Paul Dooley appearing ...

Im not sure how many more eps of Dirty Sexy Money are in the can but I am worried we are going to get stuck in the middle of a serious cliff hangar I suspected when Tripp got on the phone and told the person on the line to find out what Simon wanted with the Darlings financials that it was Karen But I wasnt really sure until the last scene So if shes getting busy with Simon for her Dad then what are her reasons Is it just to get Nick Walking into the Nutcracker crying certainly got his attention Though I think Tripps reasons are far more business related And theres some question as to whether Tripp isnt using Nick to make it seem though hes protecting Karen from Simon And speaking of which Simon inviting Karen over to meet his ex was a little mean he could have warned her at least Because if he is just using her then why did he want to get approval from his ex unless Could the Princess be in cahoots with him aga

Gina Torres by Eric Charbonneau/WireImage.com
This could be the last major piece of TV casting I bestow upon you guys in a while, so take some time to savor it. Sources confirm to me exclusively that Dirty Sexy Money has tapped the fierce and fabulous Gina Torres to play the ex-wife of Darling-family nemesis Simon Elder (Blair Underwood). The character is described as gorgeous, lithe and beaming with intelligence yep, that's Torres! The role was originally intended to be recurring, but in light of you-know-what, it looks like Torres will just barely squeeze in one episode. Sigh....

Oh, Mexico. Whenever it makes an appearance on TV, it never lets me down. I was loving the Wild West imagery tonight: From the camera's pan up toward the blazing sun between scenes to the traditional shot of the shack framed in the foreground by Emilys hand at the ready beside her holster. I was half expecting a few tumbleweeds. Or maybe even some nice tavern-door swinging. But all jokes aside, the situation in which Matt and Emily found themselves tonight was pretty gritty. There was so much carnage, so much venom. I guess a change in location really did turn the tables, because everything seemed to be opposite from what it usually is. There was very little talking, reasoning or bargaining. There was a lot of shooting. Matt and Emily were not in control of the situation. The bad guy," Felix, was just that: really, really bad. Downright villainous. Cheryl was not able to save the day. Overall, there were no warm and fuzzies coming from this episode at all. That said,...

Question: I think The Shield is one of the two or three best shows on TV right now. However, I am disappointed that it has lost its edge compared to Season 1. What made the show so different was that Mackey was alternately a scumbag and a hero, so you were never sure how to feel about him. That tension seems to have completely disappeared as Mackey is being portrayed more and more like a typical Dirty Harry, a crusading cop who only bends the rules and beats up people we all know are guilty. Do you think this has anything to do with the fact that Michael Chiklis has become a producer and is directing some of the episodes?
Answer: Mackey's lost his edge? Granted, this question came in before the Feb. 28 episode, in which Mackey took great, gleeful pleasure in eavesdropping on Kavanaugh's disturbing scene with his ex-wife (Gina Torres) and said to Lem: "At least we found his weak spot." Mackey is still as much a monster as he is a crusader, and from the start he has had a soft spot for

Question: Come on, I can't stand it! Give us more dirt on The Shield.
Answer: So much is going on in the March 14 episode I'd be shocked if FX doesn't have to supersize it. Danny goes into labor, someone we know gets promoted to captain, a member of the Strike Team goes into hiding and Mackey is going to get Kavanaugh where it hurts. Hint: It involves his wife (Gina Torres).

Alias' Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan
The countdown to Alias' hotly anticipated series finale officially got under way last week when new mum Jennifer Garner returned to the set to begin work on the show's last 10 or so episodes. And although ABC has yet to announce when (or where) the spy drama will complete its run (what's up with that?), there's every reason to believe that the 5-year-old series will go out the same way it came in: with a huge bang and a ton of hype. Not one to diminish expectations, executive producer Jeff Pinkner declares, "We want every episode from here to the end to top the one before it." OK, if ever there's a statement that demands a few follow-up Qs, it's that one. So, let's get to it.
Ausiello: What are some of the big returns you have planned?Pinkner: Lena Olin's coming back for the 99th episode, which is our second one back.
Ausiello: Really? Just for the 99th?Pinkner: Well, no, she's actually going to be back for a co

Question: I can't stand your column — you love yourself too much. Got Alias scoop? Thanks.
Answer: Way to butter me up, Ash. Bradley Cooper is definitely on board for the 100th episode, which will find a witness-protected Will getting sucked back into Syd's drama-filled world just as he's about to ******* ** *** *** **********. (And yes, each asterisk corresponds to a letter.) Also, as I reported in last Friday's Ausiello Report, Gina Torres' evil Espinosa will also return for the 100th to wreak more havoc on Syd. (For more on the landmark episode, as well as the series finale, check out this Friday's Ausiello Report, featuring my complete interview with Jeff Pinkner. Trust me, Alias fans, you won't want to miss it.)

Bradley Cooper isn't the only familiar Alias face returning for the show's 100th episode, airing, um, whenever ABC finds room on its schedule. I'm told that Gina Torres will reprise her role as Syd's archenemy, Anna Espinosa, in the landmark installment, which begins production next week and airs — all together now — "whenever ABC finds room on its schedule."
