Dear Viewer, If you enjoy movies filled with singing rabbits, exploding spaceships, or cheerleaders, you are holding the wrong DVD entirely. This movie is extremely alarming, an expression which here means "a thrilling misadventure involving three ingenious orphans and a villainous actor named Count Olaf (Jim Carrey) who wants their enormous fortune." It includes a suspicious fire, delicious pasta, Jim Carrey, poorly behaved leeches, an incredibly deadly viper, Meryl Streep, and the voice of an impostor named Jude Law. The only things that could make such a spectacle more upsetting are special features, such as commentary by me or outtakes involving nervous laughter. I am bound to continue my research into the lives of the Baudelaire orphans, but you are free to seek lighter fare, like blue cheese fondue. With all due respect, Lemony Snicket
This comedic saga revolves around the travails of the three Baudelaire orphans, Sunny, Klaus and Violet who find themselves fobbed off on a series of odd people, including the narrator Lemony Snicket. The recurring bad guy is a distant family relative named Count Olaf, who initially takes in the kids but clearly is trying to separate them from a family inheritance.
Three wealthy children's parents are killed in a fire. When they are sent to a distant relative, they find out that he is plotting to kill them and seize their fortune.
When unscrupulous human developers threaten to destroy their forest, outraged animals turn to their famous doctor friend for help in this sequel to the popular Eddie Murphy comedy. In order to help save the animal habitat, Dolittle must play Cupid to Ava, a lone endangered bear living in the condemned forest, and Archie, a city-dwelling, wise-cracking, fast food-loving, circus-performing bear. Unfortunately, it's hardly a love connection for the mismatched bears, as Ava is unimpressed by Archie's bumbling antics. With the aid of his mangy, madcap animal friends, Dolittle must teach this overgrown teddy the ways of true romance in time to save his species and his home!
Maya Dolittle (Kyla Pratt) just wants to be a normal teenager, but there's one small problem…she's inherited her father's uncanny ability to talk to animals! Her special talent keeps landing her in the doghouse with her parents, and it's driving her friends completely ape! At a summer dude ranch, Maya tries to hide her unique ability so she can fit in, but when her friends are in trouble, she comes to the rescue as only a Dolittle can - by enlisting the aid of the ranch's uproarious and outrageous talking animals! This hilarious third installment of the wildly popular Dr. Dolittle series is more family fun than a barrel of talking monkeys…and lots easier to clean up after!
Successful physician and devoted family man John Dolittle (Eddie Murphy) seems to have the world by the tail, until a long-suppressed talent he possessed as a child - the ability to communicate with animals - is suddenly reawakened with a vengeance! Now every creature within squawking distance wants the good doctor's advice, unleashing an outrageous chain of events that turn his world upside down! Featuring an all-star menagerie of voice talent (including Chris Rock, John Leguizamo, Norm MacDonald, Albert Brooks, Gary Shandling and Ellen DeGeneres), this wild and woolly free-for-all is your prescription for hilarious hijinks and mischievous fun!
The wild and woolly adventures of the one and only vet who can talk to the animals.
To save a forest slated for logging, Dr. Dolittle has to teach a performing bear born in captivity (the last male of an endangered species) how to survive in the wild and get him to mate with the last surviving female.
