Will FX's New Family Drama Tyrant Rule?

FX's latest drama Tyrant is a strange case. 

The drama (premiering Tuesday at 10/9c) stars Adam Rayner as Bassam "Barry" Al-Fayeed, the second son of a dictator (Nasser Faris) who left his homeland — the fictional Middle Eastern country of Abuddin — and started his own family in California. But when Barry's wife Molly (Jennifer Finnigan) urges him to return to Abuddin after 20 years for his nephew's wedding, Barry is quickly sucked back into the family drama he tried to escape, most notably by his loose-cannon brother Jamal (Ashraf Barhom).

Anne Heche will star opposite Jason Isaacs in USA's upcoming event series Dig.

The Emmy nominee will play Lynn, the head of Jerusalem's FBI office and Peter's (Isaacs) boss. To complicate the matters, Lynn is also Peter's only friend and love interest. She's a tough leader and doesn't go easy on Peter, but Lynn also has a soft side.

Jason Isaacs has been cast as the lead role in USA's thriller Dig, TVGuide.com has learned.

The Awake star will play Peter, an FBI agent stationed in Jerusalem whose murder investigation of a young archeologist leads him to uncover a conspiracy 2000 years old.
