Talk that George Clooney might be lured back for ER's 15th (and final?) season is being shrugged off by the movie star himself. Weighing in on the recent rash of rumors, Clooney tells TV's Extra, "The truth of the matter is they wouldn't ask, and there would really be no reason for it." (Fair point, seeing as the Cloon was already top-secretly employed to lure Julianna Margulies' Carol off the show.) Clooney tells ET that he was so perplexed by the rumblings that just the other day, when he ran into John Wells, "I said to him, 'What the hell happened?' And Clayton is the guy who, in most films about the law, would be the bad guy: An in-house fixer for the white-shoe Manhattan firm of Kenner, Bach & Ledeen. He brokers private deals, talks reason into arrogant clients convinced they can get away with murder and babysits for staffers with problems, like senior partner Arthur Edens (Tom Wilkinson), a great guy as long as he takes his psychotropic meds. Marion Cotillard is pinching herself. "Under the makeup [my arm] is blue," the French actress told reporters on Monday, showing off her bicep. As the writers' strike seems to be nearing its end, the honorees at the annual Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon could finally focus on something other than the looming threat of yet another show cancellation. And Cotillard, nominated for her performance in La Vie en Rose, is focusing on George Clooney. "I'm very, very happy to share moments with [him]. It's like, 'Yeah, yeah, French girl.
