Scottish actor Darius Campbell has been cast in ABC's reimagining of Beauty and the Beast, TVLine.com reports.
Campbell, primarily known for his theater work, will play Shiro, a bodyguard who forms an unexpected bond with Grace, a princess.
The fall TV season is taking shape. Networks have ordered dozens of new pilots starring familiar faces including Zachary Levi, Mindy Kaling, Mandy Moore and Sarah Silverman, and from proven producers like Josh Schwartz, J.J. ABC has bought a one-hour drama based on the classic Beauty and the Beast story, TVGuide.com has learned.
Tentatively titled Beauty and the Beast, the drama is an epic re-imagining of the fairy tale, which would fit right in on the network that's bringing Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) to life on new series Once Upon a Time.
