NBC's Chuck — which apparently is in an off-the-books contest with 30 Rock to see who can guest-cast the most and biggest — has added another arrow to its quiver. Gary "Yeah, I’m gonna need you to go ahead and come into work on... Saturday" Cole will be swinging by the espio-medy in the role of secret agent Sarah's father for a single November sweeps episode, a show rep confirms. Pilot News: Cole and Tambor in for Good Behavior

Gary Cole, most recently spied as Dana Delany's hubby/tormenter on Housewives, has signed on to costar on the ABC pilot Good Behavior.In the drama about a family of criminals struggling to go straight, Cole will play the patriarch, freshly sentenced to a nickel in the clink. How great did it feel to have Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy back on with new episodes this week? Such a scrumptious double feature of feel-good TV. I’m especially keen on Betty these days, this colorful and vibrantly funny new geek on the block. As others have said, it’s the perfect appetizer to the main course of Grey’s, with its usually irresistible blend of suds, scrubs and heartache.Best move both shows made this week: Ditching subplots that were going nowhere. On Betty, that meant saying goodbye to Ignacio’s case worker (who really wasn’t), the crazily smitten Constance (Octavia Spencer). On Grey’s, that meant saying goodbye to the arrogant Dr. Marlow, played by a miscast Roger Rees, a fine actor who came off more like a creepy Dracula than an intimidating Dr. McBrilliant.
